“There are many football camps offered to student-athletes, but there is only one Line of Scrimmage Camp. The VCSU staff offers the only camp available in the area that specializes in the specific task of teaching the skills needed to be an offensive or defensive lineman. VCSU LOS Camp offers many opportunities in their focused two day program. My players improve through position specific drill-work led by outstanding OL/DL coaches. The camp offers my younger players an opportunity to compete in controlled settings against age appropriate and skill leveled competition. LOS Camp offers my elite players the opportunity to compete with and against some of the best players in the region. I also learn the latest drills and techniques at camp; drills that I take back and use in the fall. My kids love attending the camp, my kids are better football players because they attend the camp, they have fun and they look forward to it each summer.” Cory Volk Offensive Line Coach; Bismarck Century High School 2015/2016 AAA North Dakota State Champions ------------------------------------------------------------------- “The LOS Camp is the most quality football camp I have been associ- ated with. We have been sending athletes to the camp for the past ten years with great results. The athlete-to-coach ratio is excellent as are the camp instructors. The time spent on individual technique and the time allowed for team concepts makes this an invaluable camp for our offensive and defensive linemen. We believe the consistency of our offensive and defensive lines can be attributed directly to the skills and techniques that the athletes learn and to the knowledge gained by myself and my staff from the high level of coaching instruction at the ‘LOS Camp.’ Coach Horner and his staff are second to none.” Steve Kleinjan Head Football Coach; New Salem, ND High School 2016 State 9 Man Runnerup ------------------------------------------------------------------- “The VCSU Line of Scrimmage camp is an excellent camp that gives the linemen that attend an opportunity to work on their technique and skills and learn new ones. The VCSU staff and the coaches they bring in from all over the Midwest do an outstanding job of teaching the players. Every player that we have brought to the LOS Camp has enjoyed their experience and become a better football player.” Ben Wollenzien Assistant Coach; Towner-Granville-Upham High School Wednesday, July 12th 8:30–9:15 a.m. .........Registration at Ellig Field Check-in at Residence Hall 9:45–10:15 a.m........Introductions, Rules 10:30–12:30 p.m. ....Practice #1 12:30–1:30 p.m. ......Lunch 2:30–5:00 p.m. .........Practice #2 5:30 p.m. ...................Supper Evening ......................Swimming Pool Availability 11:00 p.m. .................Lights Out Thursday, July 13th 7:30 a.m. ...................Wake-up 7:45 a.m. ...................Breakfast 9:15–11:30 a.m........Practice #3 11:45–12:45 p.m. ....Lunch 1:45 p.m. ...................Practice #4 Battle of Baghdad/Towel Pull 4:00 p.m. ...................McCoy Hall Check-out “Football games are won and lost on the ‘Line of Scrimmage.’ For seventeen years this camp has concentrated solely on the work of the men in the trenches.
