April 30 – May 3 Oral and Poster Research Presentations and Table Clinics Submissions Abstracts are submitted online—find the link on AAE website at www.aae.org/annualses- sion. Submission opens on August 5 and closes on October 16. Abstracts must be submitted online for consideration and will not be accepted after 5 p.m. C.S.T., on October 16. Eligibility Abstracts should describe an investigation and include objectives, materials and methods, sta- tistical tests, resulting data and for oral and poster submissions, conclusions. Abstracts may be submitted in one of the following categories. • Oral research—A 10-minute presenta- tion on a completed clinical or scientific investigation with three to five minutes allocated for questions. • Poster research—A 10-minute presenta- tion of a completed clinical or basic science investigation using a poster board display. Posters measure four feet high by eight feet wide. Presenters must remain near the poster for the entire half-day session. • Table clinics—A five- to 10-minute presen- tation of a simple, time-saving procedure or technique, or an interesting scientific phe- nomenon. Slides, models or radiographs may be used. Presenters must remain near the table for the entire half-day session. Guidelines Guidelines are now available on the AAE website www.aae.org/annualsession. All submissions require an abstract. The abstract should be approximately 250 words. To allow more mem- bers to participate, only one abstract may be submitted per presenter or co-presenter. However, presenters may co-author multiple abstracts. AAE/DENTSPLY STUDENT Awards This awards program provides prizes of $1,000 to endodontic residents for the top 10 oral, poster and table clinic presentations. The written abstract represents 25 percent of the final score. The presentation at annual session represents 75 percent of the total score. Winners will be announced on at the Annual Session.
