“ Real-time experiences, flexibility and small class sizes made my Calgary

Campus experience one of high quality. My degree gave me the capabilities

to more confidently lead ground-breaking projects.”

Lorna Wallace, BMgt 2000 Project Manager, Centre City Implementation, City of Calgary

“ The Management Co-operative Education program through the U of L Calgary

Campus provided me with the experience required to land a full-time job with

one of the major oil companies in Canada. Since classes are scheduled in the

evenings and on weekends, I can further my career and continue to finish my

degree at the same time.”

Michael Buytels, BMgt 2007

“ In the small classes at U of L’s Calgary campus, I had the opportunity to

solve practical scenarios and work with influential professors. As a result,

my degree has given me the mindset to succeed and accomplish anything.”

Skye Dack, BMgt 2005 Founder & President, Forget Me Not Charity and Events

DR. KELLy WILLIAMS-WHITT Associate Professor Human Resources & Labour Relations

Kelly specializes in labour relations and corporate social responsibility. She is an authority on helping organizations accomodate employees with disablilities. “ Supporting and ensuring fair treatment of those on the front lines is a real passion for me – one that I’m excited to share with my students.”

A degree or certificate in Management prepares you for a successful career with domestic and international businesses, government, or not-for-profit organizations. You’ll gain a broad understanding of the issues that face organizations today, and you’ll learn to lead.

BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT DEGREE

Your Management degree program at the University of Lethbridge will integrate current theory and real-life

practice. You’ll develop sophisticated communication, critical thinking and analytic skills while building a

solid foundation of business fundamentals. More important, you’ll learn to integrate the different functional

areas and manage responsibly in a global environment. And you’ll polish the soft skills essential to success

in any organization. Concentrate your studies in one of these sought-after fields:

• Accounting• Finance • General Management• Human Resource Management & Labour Relations• International Management• Marketing

We also encourage you to explore U of L’s minor in Social Responsibility – a distinctive (and highly popular)

addition to your Management degree

STUDENT-CENTRED LEARNING

At U of L, small class sizes are just the beginning. Here, you’ll enjoy opportunities to work closely with your

professors, receive one-on-one assistance with program planning and connect with industry mentors.

To accommodate the busy lifestyles of working students, classes are offered evenings and weekends.

Study full-time or part-time – the choice is yours!

Eager to advance your career? Wondering how you can earn the university credentials Calgary employers look for – while you continue to work?

93% of Faculty of Management grads say they would recommend the U of L to others. CUSC survey of graduating students (2007)

KRISTENE COLLERInstructorPolicy and Strategy

Kristene is a graduate of the MSc (Management) program and teaches our ‘Managing Responsibly in a Global Environment’ class.

“Business ethics is a dynamic concept, evolving each day as the media presents new issues to the public. This makes managing responsibly in a global environment an exciting course to teach. Fostering critical thinking about issues that are presented to consumers every day and discussing current trends affecting today’s organizations present essential information to management students.”

GAIN INVALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCE AT HOME OR ABROADThrough Co-op and International Exchange programs, you can practise your skills in the real world of

business and connect with prospective employers.

• U of L’s Co-operative Education Program provides you with opportunities to gain hands-on experience before you graduate through paid full-time work terms.

• International Exchanges and six-week Work-Study Programs immerse you in other cultures and in global issues. You can take courses that count toward your program requirements and study wherever your interests take you: Europe, the Middle East, Central and South America, the Pacific Rim.
