• Holy Communion is open to all who are baptized and trust that Christ is present in the meal, regardless of your tradition or affiliation. Pastors are available to talk about Holy Baptism if you desire to join in the Lord’s Supper.

• We share communion by intinction. Proceed to one of the stations via the center aisle. A communion server will give you bread to dip in the red wine or grape juice found in the chalice. Please return to your seat via the side aisles.

• Gluten-free bread is available at the table in the front center aisle. Remove a wafer from the bowl and pick up a cup of wine or juice, then step forward to hear the words, “given for you.”

• Children who do not yet receive communion or those who are not baptized are encouraged to come forward for a blessing. Cross your arms in front of you to signal your desire for a blessing.

• Hospitalized? Please inform the staff if you are going to be or unexpectedly find yourself in the hospital.

• Children are invited and encouraged to worship with you. A supervised nursery is available on Sunday mornings for children 4 years and younger if you choose this option for all or part of the worship service.

• Children’s Bulletins are available from the ushers. Busy Bags are hanging in the Narthex near the Welcome Center.

• Restrooms can be found on the north & south sides of the Narthex (lobby).

Volunteers Needed for Family Promise for our next host week, July 15-22. We need people to cook, drive the van, and serve as evening and overnight hosts. Sign up at the Red Wall or online at bit.ly/htlc-FPJuly2018. Call the office with questions.

VBS Adult Volunteers needed – VBS is July 9-13, 9:00-11:30 am. We need a few more volunteers to make everything run smoothly! Help is needed guiding a couple of groups and leading stations. If interested, contact Jen Schafer or sign up online. We still have room for more kids to attend! Register on the church website.

The Food Pantry is seeking donations of gently-used books for young children. Place the books in the shopping carts by the entrances. Contact Marie Witt with any questions.

HTLC’s Small Discoveries Preschool has openings in ALL programs for the 2018-19 school year! Three-year-olds have class two mornings a week (T/TH). Four- and five- year-olds may enroll for either three mornings (M/W/F) or five mornings per week. Email Holly Randell at [email protected] for more information or to set up a tour!

Join a Pop-Up Choir to sing for worship this summer! On June 24 and July 29, anyone who likes to sing is welcome to attend a rehearsal at 7:45 am and sing for worship at both 8:30 and 10:00. This is a great opportunity for anyone who isn’t able to regularly sing with the Adult Choir. Visitors and out-of-town guests are invited to join as well! No need to RSVP; just show up and sing. Contact David Fandrich with any questions.

Wednesday Night Worship continues this summer at 6:00 pm. If you aren’t able to worship on a weekend, consider attending on Wednesday instead. The services are complete with Holy Communion and are a nice substitute for weekend worship.

Helping Hand Food Boxes are a local initiative to fill special boxes with non-perishable food and personal hygiene items so that people can access them easily when they are in need. Two “Helping Hand” boxes are located in our south parking lot. We are asking members to sponsor a box for a week or more; sign up online at bit.ly/htlc-HelpingHand or contact the office if you aren’t able to sign up online. A shopping list is available; simply purchase those items at the store, then stop by and fill the box during your assigned week. Contact Amy Stoermer at [email protected] with questions.

HTLC Pool Night – We have reserved Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center for church members of all ages and their guests on Saturday, June 23, 6:15-8:00 pm. The event is free! This is a family event so all children must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions won’t be open but you are welcome to bring a snack. For a free will offering, we will be collecting personal care items for the HTLC Food Pantry. Contact Kelly Heuton with any questions.

VBS Workshops – We will host three workshops to prep supplies and decorations for Vacation Bible School. All ages are welcome! We will prep on Wednesday, June 20, 1:00–3:00 pm, and Thursday, June 28, 9:00–11:00 am. Set-up will take place on Saturday, July 7, at 9:00 am. Come for a little while or the whole time!
