Experience faith through the eyes of a child! A 9 year old boy experiences God's power in a supernatural way. With God all things are possible!

9-year-old Brian has a supernatural encounter with God, an experience that sends him on an adventurous quest to “find out more about what Christians believe.” He faces heavy opposition from the world around him, especially from his own father Simon, an atheist TV newscaster. Brian finds

allies in the pastor of a local church and a wounded U.S. Marine. Brian’s pure and innocent faith brings about manifes-tations of God’s extraordinary power that quickly become breaking news. Don’t miss out on this miracle packed adven-ture!

When Bart Millard (Brody Rose) was 11, his mother left him with his gruff, angry father (Dennis Quaid). As he grows up, the boy listens to Christian music for in-spiration and eventually puts his feelings into his own music, as he discovers that he has a special talent.

However, his father is less than supportive, calling Bart's music a "stupid dream" and telling him he's going nowhere. With nothing tying him down, Bart (J. Michael Finley) decides to leave town. Our Media Ministry is in need of more help! And it is a ministry; you are helping folks to worship through the Word and music. If you can push a button, you can help. We

would like to have enough people so that we can create a schedule for the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services. Training involves sitting upstairs alongside our current media ministry team and learning the ropes. If you are interested, please let Carol Evans, Teresa West or Joy Stallings know and we will get you connected!

One Word

Paul encourages us in Philippians 3:13, “I focus on this one thing.“ David does the same in Psalm 27:4, “The one thing I ask of the Lord.” If you’re like me, you find yourself distracted at almost every turn from the one thing God would have me be about, and I believe He’s speaking to us about that lack of focus.

We’re embarking on a journey together at FBC as we individually and corporately seek His direction and leadership through the power of one word.

I’m asking that we each pray specifically for 2 weeks and ask our Father to reveal one word He’d like to use to focus your attention for an entire year. Not a phrase, not a new year's resolution, certainly not a personal goal with which you’d like to have God’s help - but a single word from God that He will use to direct you through 2019. His word for you will be different than mine or that of others.

Can a single word hold influence over us? You bet! Just think about the negative words that hold power over us: bitterness or jealousy. But a single word from God? That is powerful enough to speak the world into being, let alone change my life and yours! When God reveals a single focus for you, you’ll no doubt find yourself hearing and seeing it every-where. You’ll find yourself in a holy encounter as God speaks to you through unusual circumstances and His word pops off the page and off the screen at you in all sorts of avenues. It may be a word of assurance: peace, victory, hope or it may be a word of challenge: forgive, generosi-ty, disciple. Pray, ask, and listen. Most of all listen.

On February 27 we’ll write out our words, pray over them, and ask God to direct and continue to speak to us. Imagine an entire year of God directing you in one particular area! It’ll be profound and God will, no doubt, astound us! I think I know His word for me, but I’m continuing to seek His direction in that.

So, pray, ask, and listen.
