Auto Forward

An Auto Forward is sending your emails from one account to another. This is done through your myNMSU account at http://my.nmsu.edu.

Out of Office Replies

• Out of Office Replies are messages that can be created and sent out while you are out of the office. You can:– Notify everyone who sends you an email, that you

are going on a trip and you will be gone for the next week.

– Customize the response message that your computer sends.

Outlook

1. Under the Tools menu, select Out of Office Assistant.

2. Select I am currently Out of the Office.3. Enter a message, for example: “I will be out

this week…”4. Select OK. This message will automatically

reply to incoming messages until you stop the Auto-Reply.

Stopping an Auto Reply in Outlook

• When you open Outlook for the first time upon your return, you will be prompted to turn off your Out of Office message. – Select Yes.

• Now your Auto Reply is turned off.

1. Launch a browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and go to: http://my.nmsu.edu. The Secure Access Login window will appear. Log in with your myNMSU username and password.

2. Select Email, then under Options select Auto-Reply.3. Select a Start Date and an End Date for the message. The

response will stop automatically on the End Date that you selected.

4. Select Enable Auto-Reply.5. Enter a message, for example: “I will be out this week…”6. Select OK.
