Mission Statement

Middle Years Programme

We will provide a safe, supportive, and exciting cross-curricular environment that will cultivate multi-dimensional exploration and collaboration. Through a rigorous and personally relevant instructional program, we will develop knowledgeable, compassionate, and reflective global citizens whose goal is to create a positive impact on the world.

STEM

We will inspire students to be intrinsically motivated to excel academically and to meet the growing global challenges of the 21st century. By facilitating innovation, collaboration, and problem-based learning, we will cultivate students’

science, technology, engineering, and mathematics skills and interests.

We have more students taking Math 1 than any

other middle school.

Goal A5.1 (Individual Professional Development), and Goal A5.2 (Job embedded professional development) on the STEM attribute rubric require

that teachers participate in monthly job embedded and professional development related to their individual needs. STEM monthly meetings and

professional development planning days have been organized to address the needs of teachers identified on beginning of the year surveys and in

Self- assessment data indicated that attribute 2.3

increased from a developing level (2.63) to a

prepared level (3.3).

We were above 85% percent proficiency and above

the district average and comparable schools in 6-8

Reading, 6-8 Math and Math 2. We have more

students taking Math 1 than any other middle

school.
