Login

The “User Name” is the user’s e-mail address that was provided to the C-TPAT program.

Change Password

• First time Users will be required to Change their Temporary password.

• Users with Expired Passwords will be required to Change their old password.

• Passwords will expire every 90 days.

•If the User is designated as a Company Contact for more than one company, a list of companies will appear.

•The User must select the company name and click continue to proceed.

Company’s Business Type and Account Status.

The SCSS Office assigned to your company.

Security Profile review status – Approved or Rejected

The Date your Company Profile Information was last modified.

The date your C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Profile was modified.

C-TPAT Account File ID.

Company’s Name as submitted on your application.

Company’s Doing Business As Name as submitted on the application.

The C-TPAT SCSS assigned to your company. (Will be blank if unassigned.)

Home Screen DefinitionsC-TPAT Company Name – This is the name submitted by the company in the company’s C-TPAT Application.

CBP Supply Chain Security Specialist (SCSS) Assigned - Name of the CBP Supply Chain Security Specialist who is the primary C-TPAT point of contact.

CBP Supply Chain Security Specialist (SCSS) Office Assigned.

C-TPAT currently has SCSS offices in:

1.       Washington

2.       JFK Airport, New York

3.       Newark

4.       Miami

5.       Los Angeles

C-TPAT Enrollment Business Types – The following are the current C-TPAT enrollment categories:

1.       Air Carrier

2.       Consolidators

a. Air Freight Consolidators

b. Ocean Transportation Intermediaries

c. Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCC)

3.       Foreign Manufacturer

4.       Highway Carriers

a. U.S. / Canada

b. U.S. / Mexico

Company Profile

Select the “Next” button to navigate through the

Business Type

Business Type cannot be changed in the C-TPAT Portal. If a company discovers that their business type is incorrect, they must request that the current application be Withdrawn and re-apply using the Online Application process.

You are permitted to change your Primary Business Code. It is a mandatory Field.

Select Next to continue. You may use this button to navigate through the Company Profile.

Please Select “No” and add a mailing address if applicable.

Company Contacts

Company Contacts Requirements:

• At least one (1) company officer must be designated as a Company Contact.

• Only a Company Officer or Company Employee can be designated as the Primary Point of Contact (POC Field).

• Consultants/Contractors may not be designated as the Primary POC.

• An unlimited number of Company Contacts may by assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Business Information

• According on your Business Type, you may enter as many Additional Ids as are applicable to your C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Profile.

• In the case of an Importer, they may add as many Business Unit Ids that apply for the purposes of Security. The Security Procedures for each Business Unit should fall under the control of the C-TPAT POC.

• Importers should enter the valid Import Bond number associated with their Primary U.S. issued Importer of Record Number.

• Be sure to Save your changes.

• You may also Submit and Save your changes using the Blue navigation links.

Security Profile

• The C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Profile is now required to be maintained in the structured template found in their C-TPAT Security Link Web Portal Security Profile section.

• Participants must provide a narrative description of the procedures they use to ensure adherence to C-TPAT Security Criteria or Guidelines as applicable for their C-TPAT enrollment category.

• For information on C-TPAT Security Criteria or Guidelines, refer to the C-TPAT web page located on http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/import/commercial_enforcement/ctpat/

Security Profile

• In the Text Box for each section, C-TPAT participants must provide a narrative description of the security procedures in place. Give examples.

• Any back-up documentation may be uploaded in the Documents section via the C-TPAT Partner Document Exchange function.

• Answers such as Non-Applicable or Does Not Apply are NOT acceptable. If you feel that a section does not apply to your situation, give a succinct explanation of why you feel this does not apply to your company.

Security Profile

• Participants navigate through the Supply Chain Security Profile Sections selecting the “Next” button or by clicking on the blue hyperlink for the section.

• Clicking “Save” will ensure all work is updated.

Security Profile • As a part of a C-TPAT participants commitment to the

program, a yearly self-assessment of their Supply Chain Security Profile will be required to certify accuracy.

• The user that performs the self-assessment will be recorded and logged.

• For each section of the Security Profile, any comments made by the C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Specialist reviewer will appear in the Comment section.

• The block also indicates whether the section is Critical and whether the section is Approved or Rejected.

• Detailed instructions on the operation of the Status Verification posted in the C-TPAT Public Document library or at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/import/commercial_enforcement/ctpat/

Status Verification

• Companies now have the ability to add/change their list of Business Entity Identification Numbers(ID) as needed.

• All ID are subject to review and verification by CBP C-TPAT.

• Any abuse/misuse of this system will not be tolerated.

C-TPAT Participants have access to:

1. C-TPAT Public Document Library – Area where C-TPAT program personnel post documents for all participants to view/download.

2. C-TPAT Partner Document Exchange (Private) – C-TPAT participants can upload and receive documents directly to/from the C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Specialists. This area is NOT accessible to anyone except authorized Company Contacts and CBP C-TPAT program personnel.

• C-TPAT Public Document Library – Area where C-TPAT program personnel post documents for all participants to view/download.

• C-TPAT personnel will use this area to post information for all C-TPAT participants such as security bulletins, conference information notices, etc.

• Each Portal user may “Opt In” to a process that will enable automated e-mail notification when a new document has been posted to the C-TPAT Public Document Library.

• Simply check the box labeled “Send me an e-mail after files have been uploaded to this folder.” and an e-mail will be sent to the address listed in your contact information.

• C-TPAT Partner Document Exchange (Private) – C-TPAT participants upload and receive documents directly to/from the

C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Specialists.

• This area IS NOT accessible to anyone except authorized Company Contacts and CBP C-TPAT program personnel.

• This eliminates the need to e-mail or fax documents to C-TPAT

• Each Portal user may “Opt In” to a process that will enable automated e-mail notification when a new document has been posted to the C-TPAT Partner Document Exchange.

• Simply check the box labeled “Send me an e-mail after files have been uploaded to this folder.” and an e-mail will be sent to the address listed in your contact information.

Discussion Items Menu

C-TPAT Participants have access to:

1. C-TPAT Program Supply Chain Security Discussion Board – PublicArea where C-TPAT program personnel post Discussion Items for all participants to view.

2. C-TPAT Partner Direct Messaging - Private area where C-TPAT participants can send and receive directly to/from the C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Specialists. This area is NOT accessible to anyone except authorized Company Contacts and CBP C-TPAT program personnel.

• C-TPAT Partner Direct Messaging – Private Area where Company Contacts and C-TPAT program personnel post discussion items and exchange infromation.

• The Partner Direct Messaging allows CBP C-TPAT personnel and C-TPAT Company Contacts to stay in contact when e-mail is not available. Only internet access is needed to send and receive messages.
