RELICS OF ST. PADRE PIO COMING
Relics of St. Pio are coming to our Diocese on March 12! Come and venerate the official relics of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina on the occasion of the 50th commemoration anniver-sary of his passing, Monday, March 12, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spir-it. The relics will be available for ven-eration from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Morning Masses will take place at 6:45 am and 8:00 am, and Bishop Kagan will celebrate a 5:30 pm Mass in honor of Saint Pio. Confes-sions will be available from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm. Eucharistic Adoration will take place from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm in the Adoration chapel. The day will conclude with Night Prayer at 9:30 pm. Alice Gerhardt will be leading a new Grief Support Group at Christ the King for those who have lost a loved one. The group will meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month, time is to be determined, but it will be held in the evenings. The group will meet in the Fr. Kuhn Room. UMARY GUATEMALA PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER — The UMary Physical Therapy stu-dents will be hosting a fundraiser at St. Mary's Elementary School on March 25 from 8:00 am—12:30 pm to support their upcoming medical service mission to Guatemala in August 2018. For a free will donation, you will receive a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and eggs! In addition, there will be a silent auction with proceeds going toward Hope Haven.
A Simple Men's Lenten Retreat is set for Saturday, March 24, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Church of St. Anne in Bis-marck. The theme is "Praying with Purpose—Suffering with Pur-pose." Featured speakers are: Fr. David Richter, who will focus on how we can make our prayer life more purposeful and meaningful; Fr. Wayne Sattler, discussing how to offer up our suffering for the good of others; and Dr. James Link, focusing on how suffering can impact our life. The retreat begins with Mass at 8:00 am followed by the speakers, as well as private prayer and Adoration. A light breakfast is provided following Mass and lunch. Mark your calendars and spread the word about the first an-nual Middle School "Lock-in Your Faith" event on Fri., April 6. Lock-in Your Faith is an overnight event for youth in grades 6-8 in the Diocese of Bismarck. Pinochle Card Party at St. Mary’s Parish in BIsmarck
There will be a Pinochle Card Party on Sunday, March 11, at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Parish. There is a $5 entrance fee, and prize for top score. Lunch will be served following the games. For more info contact Mary at [email protected].
The fifth graders worked on colonial projects, and the fourth graders (left) worked on agricultural projects, which were all displayed in the hallway.
The third graders ventured to the Heritage Center Museum to receive an inside tour from Mrs. Ford, our school cook, who is also a paleontologist!
