BULLYING

The hallway at Butler County Middle School was empty because the bell to be in class had just rung, but the one person Jessie didn’t want to see, especially after seeing the nurse over another bad headache, was her tormenter Abby, and the one reason she didn’t want to go to school every day. But there was no avoiding her. Abby walked up to Jessie, and said “No one likes you. Go rot in a ditch.” Jessie ran off in the hallway and sat down and started to cry.

Jessie went home that day after school, and when she walked in, her mom was waiting for her. Jessie’s mom saw that she’d been crying. Jessie’s mom said “What’s wrong honey?” Jessie ran to her room crying her eyes out. When Jessie got in her room, she went to her bed. She thought maybe Abby was right, “Maybe I should go rot in a ditch.” Jessie went to sleep that night not wanting to go to school anymore.

Jessie went to school the next day because her mom always made her go, but first thing, Abby walked up. Abby said “Why are you wearing that? You look so stupid.” Then, Jessie started walking away but Abby hit her in the back. A girl saw Abby hitting Jessie and walked up to her and said “Stop! It’s not nice to bully people! You are being mean really mean!”

Concerned, Kallie walked to Jessie and asked “Hey, are you okay?” Then, Kallie helped her up. “I’m fine thanks anyways.” replied Jessie. Kallie said, “If you ever need anything, I’m here for you.” Jessie then said “Thanks, Kallie!” Then they walked together to lunch.

The next day when Jessie got to school Abby was sitting there waiting for her, as usual. Jessie tried not to get near her, but Abby followed her. “What are you wearing? No one wears that any more. My grandma dresses better than you do,” Abby said. Jessie ran away crying again.

Later that day Jessie and Kallie were walking down the hallway. When they walked around a corner they accidently ran into Abby. “Watch out. Gosh!” “I’m sorry, Abby. I didn’t mean to run into you.” “Well, next time don’t do it!” Then Kallie and Jessie walked away.

About an hour later…. Abby went to the principal and said, “Jessie and Kallie pushed me down in the hallway.” “I will talk to them, Abby. Thanks for telling me.” After that he called Jessie and Kallie over the intercom to talk to him about it.

When Jessie and Kallie, went to Mr. Tuck he said, “Ladies, I’ve heard that you pushed Abby down in the hallway.” “No, I promise that we never did Mr. Tuck” Kallie says. “Okay that’s just what she came and told me today” Mr. Tuck tells them.“Okay..” When they got out of his office, they walked up to Abby. “Why did you tell Mr. Tuck that we pushed you down the hallway?” “Because I wanted to get you in trouble.”

“We have never done anything to you, why are you always mean to use?” Kallie asked. “Because it is so much fun to get both of you in trouble and to be mean to both of you.” Abby said. “Well we should try to be friends!” Jessie said. “ Why would I want to be one of your friends?” Jessie says, “ I think all three of us should be friends. Or at least try not to be mean to us anymore.” “ I can try not to be mean to both of you” Abby said.

A week goes by and Abby hasn’t been mean to Jessie or Kallie. Abby decides to go talk to Jessie, Jessie saw her coming and thought that Abby was going to be mean to her again. But when Abby got there she didn’t push her or anything. Instead she just wanted to talk to Jessie. “Hey I have been thinking of what you and Kallie said and I think that all three of us can be friends now” Abby said. “Okay I think that would be great if we were all friends” Jessie said. Abby went to go talk to Kallie to see if them two could be friends. Kallie said “Yes we can if you will be friends with Jessie to.” “ Jessie and me have made up already” Abby said. Jessie comes walking down the hallway and asked them if we were all friends now. Abby ansered “yes we are all friends now.”

Bullying is when Use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants. All of these pictures were taken by Kiana Coleman, Madison Ford, and Tori McKinney. There is a stop, walk, and talk program we do at are school. They are three easy steps to do when being Bullied. 1.Put up your hand and yell STOP.2.Walk away3.Tell someone what happened, a friend, a teacher, mom, dad.
