Pabineau Seafood Restaurant
Within 1 month we had 500 likes to the “Pabineau Seafood Restaurant & Takeout” Facebook page. We are currently at 1,093 likes on June 2, 2015.
During the month of May, Steven-Randy Peter-Paul took beautiful pictures of the food sold within the
restaurant. You can view all pictures on “Pabineau Seafood Restaurant & Takeout” Facebook site. Below is a picture Steven has taken. Yummy!
Before opening the Pabineau Seafood Restaurant, there are some changes within the kitchen. We had a set of cupboards that needed to be
replace because we install a new commercial dish washer. One set of cupboards is torn out and replace with stainless table with a built in sink. Under this table is the dish washer. The dish washer washes & sanitizes within 2 minutes. We install 6 sheets of stainless steel behind the dishwasher and the 3 compartment commercial sink.
In addition, to make things easier on busy days at the restaurant, we contacted Van Houtte Coffee company to install a Keurig machine and coffee and tea cups. Van Houtte install the equipment with no charges. However, they want us to sell so many cups of coffee per month. We hope to meet this target in order to keep the coffee machine.

Please call Rose or Marie at 506-547-4204 for further information... ALCOHOL & DRUGS ARE "NOT" PERMITTED. The first weekend of July, the Pabineau First Nation will be hosting our annual Powwow to honor our Mi’gmag heritage with traditional Aboriginal dancing, singing, arts, crafts, foods, and contemporary entertainment. What is a Powwow? Powwows are considered to be both sacred and social event for traditional Aboriginal families. It is a time to renew our bonds with the beliefs and traditions of our ancestors. It also is a time to enjoy the company of family and friends. The Pabineau First Nation Powwow is free for all to attend! We do not charge visitors to participate in our annual gathering, as we wish to encourage everyone to attend and participate in this sacred celebration of our culture. This is the one real opportunity that most people have to see real Mi’gmag traditions in action. There is no charge for admission, parking, or camping space. In addition to viewing the dances, visitors can browse through arts, crafts, souvenirs, and food booths. Please bring your family and friends out to the 2015 Pabineau First Nation Powwow. We will be expecting you with a warm welcome!

Capital Construction/Susan Motty
As Capital Construction Coordinator, I work directly with Chief and Council with planning, development and construction of many things for our community. We grow as a whole to improve the standard of living here at Pabineau First Nation.
Our long awaited state of the art water system will soon be providing water to all.
The standards of this system is above the quality expected by Health Canada. You will see me around the neighborhood assisting the plumber’s, engineers and etc.
As part of my job, I get to work with Oscar. Our community kitchen is going to be beautiful. It looks amazing!!!!

Thanks to Oscar for his dedicated work ethic!!!!!

Our Little River Restoration Project is up and running again this year. We have Noel Prisk, Edmond Richardson, Lisa Prisk, Angie Myshrall and Christopher Turkenkopf on the crew this year. This team is tight knit and have a standard to get the job done!! We have 50,000 eggs that were put into incubation boxes in May on the Nepisguit for our Little River. These eggs are now almost to the fry stage, they will then be released to restock the Little River.

Our Education Enhancement Tutors Pam and Rob arranged a visit to Tetagouche Stables on May 25th. Our students were able to groom the horses and paint their hoofs. Afterwards they had
supper and went horseback riding. It started to downpour for a few minutes but later we all saw a beautiful double rainbow! This will be the last Activity Night until next school year. Have a safe and happy summer! Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this event possible!
