Insects are all over but there are many misunderstandings of what an insect is.

This presentation will teach you how to identify an insect. You will learn what makes an insect an insect.

To be able to identify an insect you will have to know what an insect is.

Here are some questions to think about:

What is an insect? Does it have four legs? Does it have antennas? What do they look like?

An insect is a small arthropod animal that has six legs and generally one or two pairs of wings.

Count the legs to see which is an insect.

An insect has three body segments; a head, thorax and abdomen. They also have antennaes.
