Character Translation
This poem means to me that life is beautiful and we need to sit back and take a look at things! There are many things you will miss in a matter of one second! Before you realize it, you will be at your destination.
What this poem means to me..
Gao Qi is a Ming dynasty poet. He is given much credit for the creations of great poetry in the Ming Dynasty. He used “Confucian thought” to guide him. Gao qi had lived when the Yuan dynasty was falling and when the Ming dynasty was rising. The emperor accused him of a “rebellion conspiracy” and executed him.
About Gao Qi
One time I wanted to go to my friends house. But I had to cross the river. I don’t like crossing the river because it is long ride and is boring. So I went and got my boat and left. What I realized on this trip was that I never took a good look around me. There were very beautiful flowers all over and some fish swimming by my boat. While looking and observing all of the flowers and fish I got to my friends house in no time! So I learned from this day that if I take a good look around me time will fly! Before you realize it, you will be at your destination.
