The City

Our Eco-Friendly city would be in the Cuban hill and mountains because there is lots of wind, rain and sun. There is also a lot of unused space.

There would be Farmers, Tram drivers and mechanics, Energy company to cell excess electricity, Supermarket workers, Teachers, Doctors and Nurses, Police and Firemen. The only transport around the city would be a Tram It would stop at the farms, Tram station, Energy company, Every couple of Blocks of houses, Supermarket, Hospital, Fire Station, Police Station and School. To promote our idea we could have Bill Gates for our funding because he is interested in helping others and Gary Neville because kids look up to him and they would be interested if someone famous was involved.

We could recycle into clothes to get rid of waste and use a technique used in some Deserts to get water. A net is attached to the top of a Mountain and water from the clouds gets caught in it and travels down a pipe into a buckets.

The Houses

All of the houses will have Sedum on roof to soak up water to use for toilets. It normally takes 5-7 gallons of water to flush a toilet and it uses water that could be used to drink or to wash in. They will have chimneys on roof; one sucks in oxygen and heated by insulated pipes. The other sucks out cold CO2. The thick clay walls keep in heat or keep in cold and don’t need chemical paint. There will be a Wind turbine on each side of the house to get electricity.

The Houses continued

Turbines in water pipes make even more electricity. There will be four Solar panels on roof. Excess electricity and water can be sold to other companies. Water can be used for irrigation to grow crops. The houses face the South so you get light for as long as possible. All the windows will be Double glazing to keep in heat. Every window will be covered by a shutter that can open and close so you can leave the window open to let in the breeze and keep the shutter closed to keep out the Sun.
