•Real-time data denotes information that is delivered immediately after collection. There is no delay in the timeliness of the information provided. Real-time data is often used for navigation or tracking. An easy way to think about real-time information is TV news and a newspaper. A newspaper gives you the news as it was when the article was written, before the paper was printed. TV news gives you the news as it happens. TV News is real-time information - the newspaper news may be out of date and the situation could have changed by the time you read it.
