An Executive Summary should explain the purpose of the business plan. Why is this new

business necessary? What problems will it solve? How is it different than its competitors?

A mission statement should address the purpose of the business and how the business

plans to meet its purpose. By reading an organization’s mission statement, one should

understand why the organization exists.

Objectives

Objectives are like mini goals or milestones to meeting the overall goal. They are SMART:

specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-oriented.

A Market Analysis should include all of the following:

Constituents – who will the organization serve? Give a general description.
