On trading of consumer products whose PLC is less than a year
The IdeaSPLC productsMarketBusiness StrategyProcurement StrategyHuman Resource ManagementQuick ExpansionProducts needs to be exploredLeveraging the platformFunding
The idea is to get involved in trading of SPLC (Short Product Life Cycle) products like china boll or magic magnet
The price of such products vary from Rs. 5 to Rs. 100 and these are available at everywhere…village, city, metro city, on bus, on train, on road…
The industry is worth more than a billion dollar but extremely unorganized and the whole industry work in grey market
The idea is to get bigger slice by organizing people, marketing and supply chain
Short Product Life Cycle items are those products whose life cycle is less than a year
It means that the products become obsolete and there is very low or no demand in the market
These products might and might not be very useful but the excitement let customer pay for the products
Its most unorganized market but has grip every where
Rural and Semi urban areas are highly potential target for such products
Even one product marketed in a state like Jharkhand might fetch Rs. 10 core during its life cycle
In a single city there might be 10 points from where these products can be offered directly to the customers
Procurement of SPLC productsHuman Resource ManagementMarketing StrategyExpansion Strategy
The main issues in such products is procurement , one product whose untapped market is in Bihar might be available in Mumbai but not available in Bihar
We are starting our business from Ranchi, Jharkhand and have identified some vendors for such products at Daily Market, Ranchi
Further we will have watch on different SPLCP through people in our network across the metro cities where such products come first
In future we will develop our network to OEMs across the world with bigger basket of SPLCPs
The most crucial part of this business is HRM and the business will be directly proportional to the number of people are in our company
We require unskilled people and Jharkhand has piles of such people at throw away prices but we will go slightly higher than unskilled people and will pay Rs. 3000 a moth plus incentives
We will train them quickly and increase the fleet fast
We will invest on team leaders who will directly report to us
First of all we will target Ranchi and our people standing on road will demonstrate our products and sell them on the spot on cash
Soon we will hire a van and people will be visiting different cities near to the centre
The vehicle will increase the mobilization and reach and finally this will result in greater revenue
We will add one by one more number of products handled by one team of different sales people
SPLC needs fast penetration and so we need to expand ourselves very fast
In a year we will capture the Jharkhand market which will include 100 urban locations and 5000 villages
Once we create the platform we will introduce the products which have higher PLC and finally one line of business will be serving existing products which will act as a cash cow
We will capture neighbor states and also up to a certain limit we will have grip on other part of the country also
