    y Today, all the persons are running in need of meeting the basicamenities of life (food, clothing and shelter) for them as well astheir families. And in this running, they have lost to think of theirgrooming. They are not bothered about their physical appearance.All they know is to earn more and more money for a healthy living.So with this going around in our society, we discovered the need

    for shoes service and repairing. Shoes are a major part of apersons personality. It is very rightly said that to know a man, justlook at his shoes. Since shoe repairers are found mainly on thestreets or near public markets, we thought of giving the peoplesome rest for the amount of money they are going to pay.

    y The need for such a venture is evident and the idea is furtherreinforced by the existence of shoe repair shops around otherparts of the country such as The Shoe Laundry in Mumbai. Theconcept is not new but the main idea is to revolutionize the waypeople look at this work with a hint of satisfying the need of thepeople and to make the business profitable.

    y In Jammu, shoe repair work is mainly limited tocobblers, which are found at public places with theirequipment on their shoulders and looking forcustomers.

    y In case of Branded Showrooms, who get their workdone through these cobblers or through the mainfactories, which includes about 10-12 days normally.

    y There is no professional interface which can providesecondary shoe service to the customers wearingbranded shoes and neither do we have Branded Shoe

    Repair shop in the city. Thus, lack of an organisedshoe repair platform will provide a positive effect toour Shoe Clinic, especially from those customers whoprefer to wear branded and expensive shoes.

    We know , as there are no established brand offering this serviceso we will have edge over others of being first of a kind in themarket.

    Intially,starting as free home delivery service at no extra cost and

    can reach all parts of the city. Major costs involved are picking

    and delivery costs which forms almost 50 per cent of the totalcost. In order to overcome this is the delivery service can be

    outsourced, which will bring down the cost considerably.

    CONTEXT

    The general attitude is that people spend thousands on buying

    sneakers, but not a single rupee is spent to maintain them. The

    Shoe Clinic expects to get an average of 15-20 pairs of shoes a

    day.

    The rapid growth in income and due to more hectic schedules

    people are willing to shell out money for service.
