Compare friendly letters to business letters and the parts. 2. Then go over differences by pointing out the purposes for business letters. (ie. Gain information, make a complaint or a compliment.) 3. Guided Practice: On the overhead, compose a letter whole group to President George W. Bush. 4. Independent Practice: Write a business letter that has all the correct parts and asks at least two questions to government officials. (These letters were mailed and these were the responses the students received.)
