Which study method is more suitable for me?
Please refer to individual course pages to see which study method is available for each course.
Distance Learning is a version of home study you do not attend college as we liaise with you via mail.We mail you your course modules and assessment workbooks, you then complete these workbooks and
mail them back to us for marking. Many of our courses are distance learning and this method of studyis extremely popular.
Choose this method if:
you would like to learn from first-class learning materials which have been written specifically to beas effective as face-to-face teaching
you prefer to have your course pack to hand, ready to pick up, read and work through at any time
you would prefer to post your assessments to us
you have limited access to a PC, printer or the internet
Online study involves logging on to our course website with your personal log-in and password. This allowsyou to access your learning modules and assessment questions as well as submit your work online.
Choose this method if:
you would like the flexibility to log in and have instant access to your course and study at any placethere is an internet connection
you would prefer to submit your assessments online as opposed to posting them to us

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are developed from National Occupational Standards that arebased on typical job responsibilities within an industry. Each Standard is an individual unit of competence.The unit describes an area of an individuals job role and the industry standard that is required.
eNVQs allow individuals to complete an NVQ online via a secure internet website. Evidence can besubmitted, portfolios viewed on screen, feedback can be received and guidance can be sought - all fromthis course website.
Choose this method if:
you would like to be able to access your course anytime and anywhere via an internet connection
you would like to be predominantly assessed on your ability to do your job you would prefer to be assessed via a portfolio of evidence
you would like to work at your own pace (with the aim of completing within 8 to 9 months)
