Scenarios

Page 10: Bus Stop to Mountain Top

Method

• Participants were UW students and outdoor enthusiasts who currently do not have a car

• Performed usability tests in a conference room

• Had the tasks performed in sequential order

• Received additional feedback at the end of testing

Page 11: Bus Stop to Mountain Top

Results• No one actually dragged the icons, all

just clicked on them

• 2 of 3 participants did not know that multiple icons could be added to the backpack for searching a destination

• Swiping gestures were not obvious

Page 12: Bus Stop to Mountain Top

Suggested UI Changes• Icon have characteristics of checkboxes

so that user understands that multiple icons can be selected

• Reorganize the directions time/place form, so that the “same as above” checkboxes make more sense

• Add a share button to the destination slides

Page 13: Bus Stop to Mountain Top

Summary• Participants were able to complete each

task

• We found the destination filter screen may need to be revised

• Ability to share with friends expands more than just sharing directions
