And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic:

But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

Page 14: Burmah Road Gospel Hall

(4) Presumption: Neither let us tempt Christ (put Christ to the test), as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

(Cp. Num. 21:5ff) 10:9

• they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, "Why have you

brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There

is no water! And we detest this miserable food!"

Page 15: Burmah Road Gospel Hall

(5) Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

(Cp. Num. 16) 10:10

• Now Korah…Dathan and Abiram…and On, …took men…with two hundred and fifty

princes…against Moses and…Aaron, and said …Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the

congregation are holy…Num. 16:1-3

22The Relationship: Jewish Priests Partook of

the altar sacrifices offered to God. 10:18The Reality: Idols were nothing, but Idolators

sacrificed to demons! (cf. Deut. 32:16, 17, 21)The Reasoning: Believers cannot take part at

the Lord’s Table & the Table of demons. 10:21We should not Rouse or Provoke the Lord to
