make perfect those who approach.

Pt. III – THE FUTURE IN THE PAST(The Prophetical Post-Parenthesis Feasts) 

Introduction:Two Principal Principles in Interpreting Prophecy: Consider the Context in view…(1)Of God’s Programme for the three Ethnic Peoples: I Cor. 10:32…to the Jews…to the Gentiles…to the church of God. Cf. Eph. 2:11-18

Each has its Commencement, Continuation and Consummation(2) Of the OT Perspective of Prophecy with the Parenthesis in mind: Eph. 3:4-6

The Parenthesis in the Feasts Pre-shadowed the Fulness of the Body of Christ – The Church.

A. AN INDEFINITE PERIOD1. Because of a Variable Commencement – Firstfruits Fixed for the morrow after the First sabbath. Lev. 23: 10, 112. Because of an Inevitable Conclusion – Trumpets on 1st day of 7th month. Cf. Mt. 24:36; cf. Mk. 13:30, 32-373. Hence the Interval is not of Certain Length, Counts back to Firstfruits and represents the Church Period

C. THE CONVOVATION OF THE TRUMPETS It is a "memorial of blowing of trumpets" Lev. 23: 23-251. It will be a Trumpet Call to Remember their Lord - a memorial Zech. 10:9 cf. Eze. 16:602. It will be a Trumpet Call to Return to their Land. - they shall come Isa. 11:11, 12; 27:13; Mt. 24:313. It will be a Trumpet Call to Rest.- shall ye have a sabbathLev. 23: 24 a day of rest, NIV

1. The Silver from the Ransom (Atonement) Money.Exo. 30:11-16

a. There was only one Way to be numbered. vv. 12-14b. There was only one Weight. v. 15 -"the shekel”c. There was only one Standard. v. 13 –

The Comparison: The Trumpet Call for the Church and for Israel

For Israel (Mt. 24:30, 31)

1)Trumpet sounded by Angels

2)Living Israelites gathered from the four corners of the earth – no resurrection (31)

For The Church (I Thes. 4:16)

Trumpet sounded by God. (16)

The resurrected dead and the living in Christ gathered unto Him in mid-air (16, 17)

Happen in a twinkling of an eye (I Cor. 15:22)

1 Corinthians 15:51-58 (HCSB) 51 Listen! I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed…54 When this corruptible is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory?
