Liturgies this week

The Rosary | The Rosary is prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament Mass, Tuesday. – Saturday., before Mass.

Novena for Pentecost | Prayer to Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit of light and love, you are the substantial love of the Father and the Son; hear my prayer. Bounteous bestower of most precious gifts, grant me a strong living faith, which makes me accept all revealed truths and shape my conduct in accord with them. Give me a most confident hope in all divine promises which prompts me to abandon myself unreservedly to you and your guidance.

Infuse into me a love of perfect goodwill, which makes me accomplish God’s will in all things and act according to God’s least desires. Make me love not only my friends but my enemies as well in imitation of Jesus Christ who through you offered himself on the Cross for all people. Holy Spirit, animate, inspire, and guide me, and help me to be always a true follower of Jesus. Amen

(Pray each day followed by the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be for the intentions of Pope Francis).

From Your Property Committee The Parish grounds are looking good, thanks to the many parishioners who helped in our spring clean-up last Saturday. After more than 40 years of faithful service, the air conditioner for the rectory and offices has been laid to rust. The new unit will be installed soon.

Wear Red | An enjoyable old custom is to wear red, the colour of the fire of the Holy Spirit, at Pentecost. Next weekend, the Church celebrates the culmination of Easter. All are encouraged to wear something red at Mass to joyfully signify our desire to receive the Holy Spirit anew.

St. Michael’s Parish , Belleville Mission with Fr. Dan Cambra, MIC from May 21 – 25. A great opportunity for faith renewal in the Year of Mercy!
