Bangplee Plant: Phelps Dodge International (Thailand) Limited facility at Bangplee,Samutprakarn, is one of the most modern wire and cable plants inSoutheastAsiaprovidingworldclassmanufacturingcapabilities.Builtinresponsetotheincreaseindemandforwireandcableproducts,theplants incorporates the latest technology and highest quality controlstandardsthroughouttheproductionprocess.Atpresent,thecomplexfeaturesaverticalcontinuousvulcanization (VCV) tower,which is thefirst vertical crosslink high voltage insulating unit in southeast Asiaand one of the few of its kind in the world. The facility can alsoproduce low voltage power cables, internal and externaltelecommunicationscables,andlocalareanetworkcable.TheCompanyhas2moreHorizontalCVlineswithmostmodernHighVoltage Test Laboratory.
