FOR THE FUTURE
The Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL) is a Special Purpose Company
which was established to play a fundamental role in the Ministry of Education's
reform and renewal of this country's education system. We are committed to
creating healthy, sustainable schools that will benefit students and teachers for
generations.
In pursuance of our mandate this year, EFCL has delivered nine Early Childhood
Care and Education Centres:
• St. Mary's Government ECCE • Carlsen Field Government ECCE
• Egypt Trace Government ECCE • Harmony Hall Government ECCE
• Raghunanan Government ECCE • Retrench Government ECCE
• Golconda Government ECCE • Wellington Road Government ECCE
• Edinburgh South Government ECCE
Several ECCEs from the package of twenty-four (24) funded by the
Inter-American Development Bank (I DB) will be the next series of schools to be
officially opened.
Spacious and well equipped to create an active learning environment designed
to engage children in a challenging and enjoyable way, the innovative design
and build of these educational facilities include:
• Language & Literacy Centre
• Discovery Centre
• Art & Craft Centre
• Mathematics & Manipulative Centre • Sand & Water Play
• Music & Movement Centre
• Dramatic Play Centre
• Computer Centre
• Support Services Room
Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL) supports
the Ministry of Education's goal of renewing the
education system. Guided by this new direction,
as an organisation, we remain committed to
providing excellent learning facilities to the
children of the nation.

The Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL) is a project management
company responsible for developing the public sector education infrastructure
for the Ministry of Education.
We design and construct schools to meet the demands of education both now
and for the future.
In January 2012, we delivered Aranguez North Secondary School and in May of
this year we officially handed-over Marabella South Secondary School.
The first phase of Couva West Secondary and Princes Town East Secondary
Schools are on scheduled to be the next educational facilities to be delivered to
the Ministry of Education.
The design of these new facilities includes blocks for Administration,
Classrooms, Science and Technology and Visual and Performing Arts. Each
facility also has a state-of-the-art Multipurpose Hall, Cafeteria and a number of
ancillary buildings such as a Farm Building and a Security and Maintenance
Building.
We at EFCL are committed to the development of the educational vision of the
Ministry of Education to deliver a modern and safer school environment for staff,
students and other visitors using the facilities.

DESIGNING ENVIRONMENTS
FOR LEARNING AND TEACHING
The Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL) began operations on August 02, 2005. The company was formed to facilitate the development of modern and efficient physical educational infrastructure for the Ministry of Education.
To date, we have delivered fourteen Primary Schools to the Ministry of Education inclusive of Arima New Government Primary School, Lengua Presbyterian Primary School, Palo Seco Government Primary School, St. Barbara's Spiritual Shouter Baptist Primary School and Tulsa Trace Hindu School from January 2012 to September 2012.
EFCL intends to maintain its performance by delivering the following educational establishments by December 31st 2012:
• Phase One (1) of Barrackpore ASJA Primary School • Eckles AC Primary School • Enterprise Government Primary School • Febeau Government Primary School • Fanny Village Government Primary School • Monkey Town Government Primary School • Malabar Government Primary School
The innovative construction of these new educational establishments accommodates blocks for Administration, Classrooms, Audio Visual and Diagnostic Room, Library & Computer Rooms as well as state-of-the-art Arts &
Craft and Science Rooms, Multi-Purpose Hall, Cafeteria, Male and Female Sickbays and Pan Theatre I Music Rooms.
Working collaboratively with the Ministry of Education to improve the nation's school infrastructure, EFCL is committed to transforming the educational experiences of pupils and teachers through an environment that fosters optimal learning potential.
