Horizon 2020 as a route to partnership for IRELAND’s researchers and companies…

• 1,939 successful Applicants in FP7; €625M of funding from 2007 to 2014– For comparison: FP6 was €198.7M (2003-2006)

• Using population adjusted participation figures: Ireland ahead of the UK, comparable to Austria/Norway and just behind Finland/Denmark

• Some highlights:– 94 Individual Participants secured funding of >€1M– SMEs make up 75% of Ireland’s industry participation– Intel is included in the European Commission’s Top 50 Private Company participants– The Dublin Region is included in the European Commission’s Top 50 regions
