Background
Central Ohio Compact
Vision: By 2025, 60% of central Ohio adults will
complete a postsecondary certificate or degree
Collaboration between and among K-12 districts,
higher education institutions, employers, and other stakeholders
Six Regional Summits held
Straight A funding from Ohio Department of Education to develop dashboard

Goals
Help to answer questions that have previously been difficult to
answer, such as: Where are our graduates after high school?
How do graduates of post-secondary institutions fare in labor market?
Are they working in high-demand industries in Ohio?
Create an integrated data system that combines state
employer data and high-school and postsecondary education
records
A look at where we are as a region in producing job-ready
graduates
Reports for use by education leaders to identify best practices
and areas in need of attention, equip students to make more
informed decisions on their future and help employers find
skilled workers to satisfy their needs

• The OAC Straight A grant provides an opportunity to level the playing field for 27 rural, Appalachian districts in Ohio.

Straight A Grant Goals
• Raise the OAC average 4-year graduation rate by 1 percent per year, with particular attention to low-SES students

• Ensure local data loaded into the OAC Data Dashboard will be owned by each member district.
