Background • Nepal is one of the poorest countries in
the world • Over 23,000 disabled Nepali children
live in poverty. • Treatment is oDen delayed so children
learn to adapt to their disability. • The Hospital and RehabilitaGon Center
for Disabled Children (HRDC) is one of the few faciliGes in Nepal dedicated to providing low or no cost medical treatment to children with physical disabiliGes

operaGve experience of children and their families at HRDC through observaGons, focused interviews and informal conversaGons
