Direct Link is a Layer 3 network service that allows customers to establish a dedicated

connection from their own IT infrastructure to the SoftLayer private network and cloud

services, with faster and more consistent network performance, and higher data security.

Note that this is a SPOF. Links to 2 different POPs are necessary for redundancy.

• PowerVC is managing the basics of compute nodes, storage attachment and VLANs

• IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack act as a single pane of glass for cloud administrator, and has also a self-service component if you want to quickly build an IaaS.
