COVER STORY

I don’t understand how to define this Love. I don’tunderstand how to confine “love” in few words. Loveis divine and selfless for some and for some it isunconditional and steadfast. I don’t know when itstrikes and when it absconds. It is beyond one’simagination .I had been pondering about the charmand power that this love possess. It definitely hassomething magical or say something beyond one’scontrol. People whose life is touched with this powerare blissful and so now do you realize what binds youand me and trusses us with the almighty god?? Yupit’s “LOVE” a four letter word with four thousands wattenergy. A current of love is never shocking. It’s sweetas nectar, as pure as a child’s inquisitiveness and aspeaceful as nature’s waterfall.

I have been lucky enough to have many loved ones inmy life. It has been a shield during my steep andshallow days. Love has never been a weakness forme; on the contrary it’s been my biggest strength! Myfamily’s immense love has transformed a wreckedanimal like me into a sensible being. My childhoodfriend once asked me out of curiosity what isdifference between “LOVE” and “LIKE”.

I was astonished because actually i didn't have anyanswer to her question. I rushed into the kitchen thatafternoon and asked my mom.”Do you like me??”Shereplied “Yes, i do”. Then i asked her “Do you loveme??” .She once again replied “Yes, i do”. Then iasked her what is the difference between “LOVE” and“LIKE”. She left her chores immediately and stood byme, held my hands tightly and replied “When you likesomeone, you are only impressed or you onlyappreciate the good things in that person.Your friends like you because you are smart, sweet, polite and helpful. But when you love someone youlike and accept that person’s flaws along with theirgood qualities. Love is unconditional dear. I and yourpapa love you. We love you for what you are. We loveeven when you scream and fight with your brother, welove you even when you get irritated and snap thedoor at us, and we love you even when you becomeimpulsive and rigid. Whatever wrong or right you dojust know one thing you are very precious to us andwe love you”. I jumped with great joy becausethat’s the first time that someone made me believethat i was so special for them. I guess we all had suchrealizations somewhere someday.

Love is all about being in LOVE!

6BuddyBits E-magazine | Issue 2 | February 2013

Page 7: BuddyBits Issue 2

But one question always disturbs me what about allthose whom the breeze of love has never touched?Do they feel the same about being loved as i do? Orthey believe that love exists nowhere? I had seenpeople getting provoked when someone rejects theirlove, or neglects their presence and make them feelleft out or unimportant. Such people get agitated. Some of the hapless people who have been deprivedof love have turned evil, malicious or insane. That’swhat i exactly trying to drive you Folks. Places orrelations where there persists no love have turnedbitter initially, Strained as it progresses andit completely transforms into darkness and immoralways in the end. Brothers turn hostile when onerealizes that one is more beloved then the other.Friends turn foes when one finds that the latter istrying to seize her loved one. Love is a boon. Don’tchange it into a curse. Peace and harmony existswhere there is love. Just love, spread it everywhere.Love builds relations based on trust and truth. Love isboundless. No charges or taxes are implied for Lovingsomeone. Spread the love. Loving makes gives youendurance and reason to live. Love everyone around.Love yourself first. Love god for his magnanimousgrace. Love you friends for their rock steady support, love your work, love your stuff, and love yourneighbors. Love every season, love with no reason.Love the fact of being in love. Treasure the personthat you are in love with. It’s precious; please don’t letit rip away from your lives. Hope in this season of lovewe rejuvenate the feeling of “LOVE” in our lives.

Love is a deep sea where every single drop of lovedemonstrates the relations that exists betweentwo entities. A mother’s unconditional for her child, afriend’s rock steady love for another friend, the sweetbrackish love between siblings, a gardener’s love forhis garden, a child’s love for its toy, a person’s loveFor one’s things and the saga goes on. Today’sgeneration has a different perception regarding love. For them it is not a moral support or emotional mustbut just a matter of status. For a boy it’s a matter ofpride when he has more than one girlfriend. For a girlit is merely a great jovial moment as her demandamidst her group of friends amplifies. To add icing onthe cake, dating has become easier and soother, all thanks to the social networking sites. Sitting atHome one can easily surf through various sites andbecome friends and enjoy the pleasures of being in avirtual relationship and love.

No one wants to put In extra efforts to gain thepleasure of being in true love or relationship. Love isbeen restricted to just a device window or a chat boxmessage, emoticons, Smiles, e-cards and one-linersare enough to keep your loved ones happy. Peopleno long feel the need to have those long waiting fortheir loved ones. People don’t feel the need to pendown the genuine feelings in letters for each orexchanging pleasantries in any other manner. Nomore blushing, no more rushing, no more longcommitments, no life time adjustments, just fun andfrolic moments. People want romance but it should befreelance. We expect our love to take off as the carrace of fast and furious movies and it does but it landsin a no Man’s island. The relations and importantlythe love have become very fragile. Life is very hecticand it’s on a great run, i understand that. But love isalso a must. It is a need for our soul, a shade for ourlife and a gleam of light in our gloomy lives.

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, verypretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As lovegrows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

MEET PEOPLE

Deven Bhojani is an Indian TV serial actor/director; mostly known for his character Gattu in Baa Bahoo aurBaby. He is a theatre actor who is best known for his Gujarati plays and dramas. While he is usuallyassociated with comic roles, he is also known to portray supporting characters to the most extent. He haswon many awards for his performance in various serials and directorship in superhit series Sarabhai vsSarabhai. BuddyBits.com exclusively took his interview. We got to know many interesting things abouthim. Here is an extraction of our conversation with Deven. Have a look!

Tell us something about your early life and aboutyour connection with Gujarat.

I am a proud Gujarati – Halai Lohana by cast. I amborn and brought up in Mumbai. My Kul-devi Maa isin Morbi near Rajkot, Saurashtra.

Tell us about your educationalcareer.

I have studied Film-Making from one the bestFilmmaking schools in Hollywood called University ofSouthern California (USC), Los Angeles, USA.

Tell us about your experience as an actor inGujarati theatre, television and films.

I have been having a great time in all three fields ofEntertainment for last many years. Though lately, Ihave been keeping busy only with television. I’mfortunate that my hobby of ‘Acting’ and ‘Directing’turned into my Profession, which doesn’t happen witheveryone.

Theatre recognized my talent and helped me grow asan actor and as a person.Television gave me money, security, confidence, love, respect, awards andimmense popularity.

Films gave me ‘money’ when I needed the most i.e.when I wanted to buy a new house and a car formyself. Film ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander’ gave merecognition as an actor in the Film and TV industry. Itwas the trigger point of my journey in EntertainmentIndustry.

How you got into directorship, and share yourexperience as a director.

I learnt the ropes of ‘Direction’ during JJWS, as I hadworked as an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR to MansoorKhan while making JJWS. Independently, I starteddirection by directing a few episodes of ‘EK Mahal HoSapno Ka’, when a director fell ill and theproducers had to meet the deadline. I’ve won manyawards for directing‘Sarabahi v/s Sarabhai’ and acouple of awards for creatively directing ‘Baa BahooAur Baby’.

Share your experience with Hats Off Production.

J.D. Majethia and Aatish Kapadia are the key personsbehind HATSOFF PRODUCTION. Personally, theyboth are my two of the best friends. Professionally, wehave worked together on many projects and thesuccess ratio remained 100%. We have lovedworking with each other and the work brought useven more closer.

You are playing Gattu again on Life OK. Wouldyou like to share something on it?

It is must be one of the rarest thing happened intelevision industry; where an iconic character of anold serial (Baa Bahoo aur Baby – Star Pluschannel) entered in a new serial (Alaksmi – Life OKchannel).

Interview with Deven Bhojani

I wanted to become aChartered Accountant, butthank God, I ended up beingan Actor / Director / Producer.I could manage to completemy Graduation (Commerce)though from a reputed collegeof Mumbai (India) namedNarsee Monjee (N.M.).

TELE STAR

Page 9: BuddyBits Issue 2

This may start a new trend of reviving popular oldcharacters. Honestly, initially I was a little skepticalwhen producers approached me, but later I thought; itwould be great fun to relive mine and audiences’favorite character. I felt really nice & loved; when Iwas told that it was channel’s idea to bring Gattu inAlakshmi.

How challenging the role of Gattu is for you?

Gattu is/was a very difficult character to play – BeforeI started shooting for BAA BAHOO AUR BABY(Gattu); for a few days, I use to go to a CHILDREN’sHOME (for Autistic children) to observe children overthere.

It helped me learn nuances of this character – Theirgestures, postures, mannerisms, how they talk, walk, how they feel, how they relate and understand things& people, etc etc. I owe a lot to those children.

Even today, while playing GATTU, I request the wholeunit to stop moving even an inch during my shot – toconcentrate better. I need a few seconds of completeSILENCE before and during the shots. Sometimes, Iget carried away for a couple of seconds, even after Ihear a ‘CUT” from the director.

Tell us something about Mrs. Tendulkar.

It was a nice character, but I feel, I could haveperformed it a little better. The serial was appreciatedbut still, it didn’t work the way we had expected it towork!

You have worked in Agneepath. Share yourexperience from the set of Agneepath.

I had been avoiding to do a film since I was notgetting good roles and was busy more with television, but I got a call from Dharma Productions (KARANJOHAR), which is one of the the biggest banners ofFilm Industry, I thought ‘let’s meet at least!’. I got thescript and character narration from the director KaranMalhotra, also got a hard bound copy of the full script– They were ready to accommodate my dates – Thenthere was no reason to say a NO!.

On the sets, everything was very professional – wellorganized, people were disciplined, director knew hisjob very well, co-stars Hrithik, Priyanka, RishiKapoorji were very supportive and without any hang-ups.

A few of my scenes were chopped off in the final edit– but I understand, it happens and I have accepted itvery gracefully. Overall, it was a wonderfulexperience.

Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai was the biggest hit. Wouldyou like to share your experience from the set ofSVS?

I was fortunate that I had a great team of cast andcrew. On first day, I was a little intimidated by senioractors, but within a couple of hours, I managed totake command.

They were very supportive and didn’t bring their‘Seniority syndromes’ in the work. Major credit for thesuper success of SVS should go to it’s amazingwriting.

Audience is demanding the next season of SVS,have you planned to launch next season?

I’m glad that audiences loved SVS and consistentlydemand for its next season, which is not a verycommon thing in television; but only the producersand the channel can answer the question ‘When is itpossible?!’

We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feelcompletely alive. Where every sense is heightened, every emotion ismagnified, our everyday reality is shattered and we are flying into theheavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But thatdoesn't diminish its value. Because we are left with memories that wetreasure for the rest of our lives.

It was a very nice experience for us to take interview of Mr.Ritesh Ambastha. You will be able tounderstand and make yourself ready for upcoming things that will cross your path when you will beapproaching the market. This interaction will awake you people. During his first job, he realized thatworld is completely different from what he ever studied in his academics and also observed that thesyllabi of the colleges are not at par with the advancements of the industry practices. From thatmoment, he strongly decided to help the students in India, mainly engineering students of Tier -II andIII cities, to expose them with current market trends and make them more aware about recenthappenings in the industry by conducting various workshops and seminars, iWillStudy is an outcomeof that. We are presenting the communication made between us, it was a small effort made by us toreveal his journey right from his student life to his professional life. Have a look!

Interview with Ritesh AmbasthaSTARTUP TALK

Please tell us something about yourself.

I am experienced software professional in Mobile,Web Development, Search Engine Development andLocation Based Services application domains. Aftercompleting my degree in Computer Engineering, Ijoined Powai Labs Pvt. Ltd., which was a start-upcompany supported by IIT-Mumbai. As soon as Ifinished my training from Powai, I was selected as aResearch Assistant in IIT where I worked on J2MEbased mobile applications. After that, I joined anotherIIT Mumbai initiated start-up company, MobianceTechnologies. There, I worked on various Mobile andWeb based mapping and mobile trackingapplications. Then, I joined Reliance BIGEntertainment where I worked for a couple of years. Now I am founder and CEO of a company that worksin the education domain – iWillStudy.com.

How did you get in to IIT Bombay?

During the last year of my engineering I gotfascinated to see the research and development workat IITs. I started watching those work closely – startedchasing professors at IIT Bombay. Luckily I got myfirst chance to work as a Project Trainee at PowaiLabs Pvt Ltd – a startup by IIT Bombay. There Iworked for 6 months and developed Java Swingapplications. While working there I gathered moreinformation for joining some research work at IIT. Ikept a close eye on IRCC – Industrial Research andConsultancy Centre (IRCC) coordinates sponsoredresearch and industrial consultancy projects at IITBombay. Through such projects, researchers at IITBombay solve problems arising in industry andconduct basic and applied research. There was an

opening for a Java developer who can build mapsbased project – both for web and mobile platform. Iapplied for the position of Research Assistant andpassed the interviews and written exams. I workedunder the esteemed professor S. Arunkumar – [Ph.D.UC Berkley] for more than a year on this project.Later on few more researchers joined the project andI became the project lead. I enjoyed my journey at IITBombay. Gradually my interest to make consumercentric products evolved and I moved on fromResearch to rapid real products development in thenext startups.

Would you please tell us about the difficultiesthat you have faced in the initial stages of yourtechnical career?

I was never a shy guy, but used to face problems inmy early days. It took me more than a year toconquer the faith and build the confidence. I took alldifficulties as challenges and tried to learn new thingsevery day. The first challenge was to cope up with myown professor at IIT Bombay. I had to work nights anddays to sustain the pressure and perform up to themark. There were endless challenges!

How difficult was it for you to convert yourdreams in to reality?

Well, this was the toughest time of my life. I was wellsettled and was earning real good. I had thoughtabout leaving my jobs many times in the past, and Irealized the right time has come. It’s a realizationprocess post aggressive selfintrospection. I wastalking with myself all the day and nights, and wasready to take up this challenge. There was nothing

wrong to give it a try, and there was nothing to lose. Inever cared about luxuries and a well settledmonotonous life. It was a tough decision but wasmore or less pre-planned.

Finding a right team who can share your vision isalways challenging task for any entrepreneur. How difficult was it for you?

Yes, it was difficult. I was always looking for someonewho can think and can work like me, someone whocan have the similar vision and dream. After a longwait and self-realization I found that it’s a myth. Istarted this startup alone. I knew that I can make agood team; I can train them and mould them to workon the similar lines. Luckily I found few good peoplein the long run and am delighted to see them in myteam. I don’t believe in finding the right team. I believein meeting the right person and find out the mutualsynergies to work together.

Say something about the challenges you havefaced in your entrepreneurial journey so far.

We opted to prioritize brand creation over revenuegeneration in the first year of our startup. We kept ourcustomers happy while keeping our pockets almostempty. This was a disastrous and a risky strategy. Atime came when I was left with nothing. The onlything I was carrying was the faith among mycustomers and the name of the brand in the localcircle – Ahmedabad, Rajkot & Facebook.I managedand poured in some more cash in the company andredefined the revenue model. We opened up thetraining center too and started working on three frontsvery aggressively – Events (Seminars & Workshops),Training Programs (Longer duration programs) andSocial portal. We worked on Training & Placementopportunities at various colleges and bagged fewgood offers. This was a tough time. I lead a verycompetitive team of engineers and MBAs atiWillStudy.com. This is a challenge to motivate, inspire and encourage them on regular basis. For me,a company is all about the people. Keepingcompetitive people in the team is one of the biggestchallenges of a startup.

What are your revenue models?

Our event – Seminar/workshop business is based onthe fees and the sponsorship model. There aremodels following which we generate revenues bykeeping fees for our events – both for participants andsponsors.

Our website – This is an advertisement based modelwhere we make money via ads. We are now set toprovide premium content on paid basis too.

Our training center – This is a fee based initiativewhere we enjoy the profit margins and keep the

startup cash-flow in balance.

Say something about your vision foriWillStudy.com?

Vision is to connect maximum number of collegesacross India and connect academia & industries invarious possible ways. We wish to provide services inall the areas of education wherever we get a chanceto bridge the gap between industry and academics.

What next after iWillStudy.com? Do you haveplans for expansion in or outside of Gujarat?

We are working on our expansion model. We areplanning to set up branches of iWillStudy.com inPune, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhopal, and Cochin inthe coming years. We have also been talking with afew investors who will help us with our ventureexpansion.

What advice would you give to upcoming youngentrepreneurs?

The hardest thing about a start up is to make a start. Then, themost important objective is to keep it alive. 2-3 years ago, I wasalone and had a vision. I was making good money for myprofessional experience and age. But, I had more reason to existin this world; to create values for the society. That was the onlythought that forced me to quit my job and take this risk- a risk tohelp people. I was on my way to create values, and in turn, create intellectual capital.

The second principle is to create people! A company is all aboutpeople and you have to take risk in believing in people.

You don't need a big plan when you begin. Keep visiting cards,an information brochure, and a business suit ready-to-wear, andjump into it!

Ritesh’s Message for Upcoming Young Entrepreneurs!

The hours I spend with you I look upon as sort of a perfumed garden, adim twilight, and a fountain singing to it. You and you alone make mefeel that I am alive. Other men it is said have seen angels, but I haveseen thee and thou art enough.

What is the concept of Samajhdar Sintu comicsand website?

Samajhdar Sintu comics are India’s First series ofEnvironmental Comic strips, certified by The LimcaBook of Records, which revolve around the story of aboy ‘Sintu’ who commits mistakes in his daily life andtries to learn from them. He then propagates his ideaof green living and help people in executing their livesthe Sintu way.

Who are minds behind Samajhdar Sintu?

Samajhdar Sintu is jointly run by Anushree Poddar, agraphic designer by profession and SaurabhPacheriwala, an environmental engineering student.Anushree does the illustrations and handles thedesigning of the comics and Saurabh does thecontent part of it.

How the idea of such initiative came in yourmind?

Graphical representations are somethings whichpeople usually adopt after having a look at them. They are easy to apprehend and are more easilydigestible. The issues of environment and the serious

How did you characterise Sintu?

Sintu was designed as a 7 year old kid. This was sospecifically chosen because the simplicity of a kid issomething which can carry away anyone’s thoughts.A kid will always love to follow someone who is lovedby others and an elder person can always get enviedand can try to become the loved one by doing thegood deed. How did you maintain promotion of Sintu?

Social media marketing as well as regular eventshave kept Sintu alive in the hearts of people. Ourassociation with Times of India, Newspaper inEducation edition for more than an year gave Sintu alot of hype; and that actually built up half the marketfor us. The rest, as they say, are wonders.

Did you get motivation/ appreciation from anyorganization/ government/ media?

ESSENCE OF LIFE

There are so many undefined terms we have to liveout with; there are so many ways for interpretation;there are several ways to visualize things. Manytimes people fail to interpret and as it is said ‘To err ishuman’, it’s obvious. I have been watching peopletalking about love and relationships for so long time, sometimes I wonder how could they manage all thesethings? Are they able to understand all these thingswhich they call love, likeness or affection?

As per the psychological perception love is one of thevery common feelings individual feels as per the time, but he can’t say firmly what he is saying or doing isabout love or not because, he may not sure about it.There must be some parameters taken inconsideration while talking about love or that kind ofrelations. Generally, people interpret likeness as lovebut actually they don’t know what they are doing.Likeness towards something is temporary and itdoesn’t have capacity to bind individual in relations, itdisappears automatically after sometime. If we talkabout love “it’ll never fade away because it is havingstrong bonding than likeness” and this small definitionor say “belief” is said by philosophers and even fromcommon people we can hear this small definition oflove but as I said formerly love is an undefined termand will remain undefined. Yes, that is another thingthat, you can indicate or exemplify love by variouscases such as love between mother and child, lovebetween married couple etc.

One sterling example I would like to indicate here isabout the love between a child and its mother.Everyone knows about the great and selfless lovebetween mother and her child. Mother’s love iseverlasting and simply great. Nowadays, people aregoing in wrong ways, especially, collegians are aheadin misinterpreting love. They consider likeness as lovebut as I said before it should not be like that.

Love itself is a high level thing so expectingsomething more than love would be merelythoughtlessness I suppose. As far as ‘true love’ or‘real love’ or any other similar words are concernedthere is no such thing exist, the only thing exist islove, nothing more than that.

One concrete thing strikes in my mind is that, ifpeople will continue misinterpreting love and startfalling in such likeness related thing which doesn’thave any connection with love they’ll be going tosuffer for sure because, they even don’t know therealistic concept of love and they are running towardsit like a dumb.

Love is not love actually!RELATIONSHIP

Incredible LOVE!LOVE SPECIAL

20BuddyBits E-magazine | Issue 2 | February 2013

Feeling of love is so much adorable; sometimes individuals get their love by luck and sometimesby effort. As far as luck and effort are concerned people claim on luck to make their love succeedbut there are so many things affecting Love. Love is everything and everlasting, almost everyrelation has love inside it. Forms of Love differ from person to person but main concept remainssame and that is Endless Love. People are so much crazy about love and if they get their lovethey feel everything as awesome as never before.

February is the season to retreat the emotions with a tenderness and blossom the flower of LOVE.After a new year’s bash February comes with soft whispering of cupids and spread the love allover. Of course the main reason is Valentines’ Day. Usually people know about Valentine’s Dayand its regards with St. Valentine. There are countable beliefs behind it. But the most popularlyrelated like this, that once in Rome there was a priest in whose era the emperor have passed theordered of marriage denial for army soldiers. Thinking they would not be very effective in their jobsif married. So, the priest apparently preformed secret marriage ceremonies for soldiers and theirsweethearts. Helping love birds priest became saint. And in his remembrance Valentine Day iscelebrated in all over the world. But as a matter of fact it’s not the only one reason for romance.May be it’s the time of spring that also chirping love in air.

The term LOVE is universally varies, having no measures, no specifications but there is somethingthat counts for its existence, which is an unconditional behavior of caring. Well, that’s a maturefeeling. But for an amateur, starting is like flying on 9th cloud. Nothing seems to matter more thanimagination and dreams to be with loved ones. One moment you are laughing a loud with thememories you share with the that special person, and the very next moment your sad and willingto cry because of the distance in between. But at the point when just one tear rolled out you smileby sitting with the photo and enchanted in happily ever after land. So, one can say that the Love isa charming paradox. And the gloom of pain is shiny and shimmery which beautifully crafts yourdreams, once in love you can’t help but smiling. Such silly expressions they are but yet you can’thelp it. Every hour is having 60 different thoughts, imagination, and dreams of the delighted happyfuture life. It’s amazing how a single feeling is able to produce all other emotions.

In love there is not just one thing to be considered. It could be seen in various ways. Like asmother’s care, father’s protection, sibling’s teasing, friend’s support and partner’s withstand. Suchvast areas are covered. But besides all this, love relation stuff. There is a pure feeling of love. Notfor anyone but for everything. That’s the beauty of human existence. If anyone asks me whether Iam in love or not… I would please to say I am not in love but love is in me. Love has power ofsupremacy. Love has power to turn ordinary in to extraordinary. It can change your visions, givesyou strength, help you to sustain. And with all these it leave sweet curve on your lips like forever. Itteaches you to accept every thing with delightful heart, including grief. It creates a platonic relationwith you to yourself only. Yes, it sounds little complex. May be that’s why you can’t define love asany theorem. God must‘ve been in an amazingly in blissful mood, when he created the feeling ofLove.

Once I read stories about Love. In one the conclusion was stated that, “where ever love goes, happiness and prosperity follows.” Where the other one, which is happened to be my favorite statsthat “even time respect love, because without love world is not worthy to live.” But besides allthese, on article about love by Swami Vivekananda has left a mark in my mind. The article greatlyhelps me to develop my idea. Or you can say I am very much influenced by the thoughts as well.Article starts by the symbolic representation of Love by water holding in an open palm. And afterthoughtful explanation by Swami Vivekananda, the summary of the article goes like this, “Love ismeant to be free; you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them tobe free beings. Give and don't expect, Advise, but don't order, Ask, but never demand .”

As already said that love can’t be explained, yet for me this is the nearest explanation of the termLove. It’s a simple lesson to make life beautiful. But most of the time simple things are moredifficult. Just like the saying, “It is very simple to be happy but very difficult to be simple.” Toimplement swami Vivekananda’s conclusion, you can do nothing but the practice. A lesson maytake a lifetime to truly practice. But, it is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you mustsincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet hold on the behavior of anunconditional caring. By the way, many times we see examples for the unconditional bonding oflove. There are so many people out there in this world, which actually became an example ofunconditional love. Person dealing with Handicapped partner. Parents caring of a mentallyretarded child. etc. They never feel the burden; instead they are happier than a regular personbecause, they have their loved ones nearby.

There are countless things we can talk related to Love. Everyday everything relates to Love. Ourdaily life, including professional and personal matters. Our relations, culture, festivals and so manynotorious things. Everything is having at least a stone of love deep in the base. Even every religionis based upon it. In Christianity, Jesus crusade for sake of his followers. In Hindu MythologyKrishna charitra and many more is totally based upon it. So many incidents are there to describe. For an example the festival described in Hindu Mythology, usually comes in February. Called‘Vasant Panchami’ means the fifth day of spring. As per another mythological story, this day LordRama ate half tasted berries (ber) of Shabari and honors her divine love for him. Anyway, here notvery much keen to illustrate the whole story but just one point to make out that even God is obligedby the love.

So at the end may we all find love within ourselves!

Those were too great days actually, but I didn’t take that much interest or say I didn’t haveadequate sense that I could grab the chance. It’s a matter of regret for me that, I didn’t do that. If Iwould have done it at that time, everything would have been in favor of mine. Sometimes timereminds us that we’ve lost such things which we could make ours.

She was not a stunning beauty but for me she was so pretty. I had always dreamed abouther and even today I do the same because feelings are everlasting and they stay forever.Someone truly said that, “Love can’t be hidden”, you cannot conceal your love if you have it forsomeone.

Those days were not flexible enough so that, I could express what I wanted to. One thing Iwould like to say here that, whatever had happened was pre-written in my destiny. In other sense, circumstances also played a crucial role in all these. As I always say time is a running gear of ourlife and we are supposed to move as per it. If we’ll not move than it’ll throw us out of the system.

While I was going through all these I forget almost everything and it was like a sensation Ihad for her but for her it was nothing like that. When I realized that, I was hurt a lot. I always askedmyself that Why she didn’t love me? Why? But then thought how could I answer that question? And of course it was not in my hand to gain the answer.

Probably she was not made for me; she was hiding something before me. Yes, I always feltthat she was hiding something before me. She also had some fears about which I was not sure. Ihad heard her voice years ago but I still remember her voice and I feel she is saying something inmy ears. I kept on convincing her but I failed finally by getting same answer and that was “NO”.Her “No” had become familiar to me. After so many efforts I had decided not to ask her againbecause every time I approached I got the same answer and I think it was projecting me as aJOKER but I realized it later.

She had no special place in her heart for me as I had for her. I always had that dream that if Icould make her mine but then I realized that it was not possible. I did not believe in proposing girland saying ‘I love you’ and all such things but I had used a noble way to express what I wanted tobut as per my luck or say her lack of knowledge about love, I always had a pessimistic outcomeand that was her ‘NO’.

I think she was right with her point of view because, one must not ignore society and it's neverending rules, responsibilities and other related bondages that can be found in a respectful girl. Shehad her own dreams, she had once told me about it and I had paid attention towards it and alsogave her my support and encouragement so that she could fulfill her dreams and aspirations. Butfor me she herself was a biggest dream.

Many times we picked up fights and again drew closer but alas! At last everything was invain. Her innocent smile, her cute face, her silly arguments was so much endearing to me and itwill remain confined forever in my heart. I cannot forget those ritzy moments we had spenttogether.

And finally I realized that it was just a dream of, when I woke up that morning. I didn't knowwhere she lived, I doubted her existence, and I didn’t recollect anything more because it was just adream only. i realized may be such an angel existed in heaven only because this earth has nocapacity to accommodate such angelic person like her.

Rooting a simple story in a realistic middle-classworld far removed from the glossy surfaces of RockOn!, Kapoor can’t shake off his fascination for buddypictures, but in Kai Po Che we’re treated to a morehonest, assured portrait of friendship that never feelsas conventional as his National Award-winningprevious film. At a crisp two hours, Kai Po Che isenriched by its sweeping score and by Kapoor’s defthandling of the film’s varied moods. Kapoor tacklessensitive issues like the Gujarat riots with equanimityand empathy, and Anay Goswamy’s terrificcamerawork complements the director’s visionintuitively.I’m going with four out of five for Kai PoChe. It’s only February, but one of the year’s bestfilms has arrived.

KAI PO CHE, Abhishek brings alive the charactersand events most persuasively. He borrows from thenovel, but at the same time adds a lot to it with hisdeft execution. Resultantly, what emerges is a moviethat evokes myriad emotions in the viewer. You smile, chuckle, get anxious and jittery, also moist eyed on

several junctures. Attention-grabbing in entirety, absorbing you into its world from the onset itself, KAIPO CHE blends fiction and facts dexterously, recreating a story on celluloid that's credible andnoteworthy. On the whole, KAI PO CHE is brimmingwith solid content. Watch it for the spirit it is made in.Watch it because it's the kind of cinema that pushesthe boundaries. Watch it because movies like KAI POCHE need to be encouraged. A film that deserves anovation!

Based on Chetan Bhagat's The 3 Mistakes of My Life,in his second outing, Abhishek Kapoor raises the barby giving us a thoroughly enjoyable film thatshowcases the strong emotions between the threeprotagonists who are boisterous, ballistic and at timesplain bored. Despite the disturbing backdrop of death, destruction and politics, Kai Po Che is very likeable.Between tears, you find yourself smiling, because it'sthe story of friendship and human triumph above allelse. Note: You will not like this movie if slice-of-lifefilms with intense emotions are not your cup of tea.

Vishwaroop is an action drama based movie aboutterrorism in Afghanistan that would be rememberedfor years to come, for all the good, bad andcontroversial reasons.

Vishwanath (Kamal Haasan), a classical Kathakdancer is forcefully married to Dr. Nirupama (PoojaKumar), who is a nuclear oncologist. Nirupama isattracted to her boss, who has links with the terroristgroup handled by Omar (Rahul Bose). There isanother side to Vishwanath, which is revealed whenhe and his wife are captured and tortured by theterrorists. The rest of the story revolves around howVishwanath and his team protect New York from theterrorist’s attacks.

Kamal Haasan is as effective as ever. He has done afabulous job as dance teacher and Jihadi trainer.Pooja Kumar is expressive, confident and has a cutesex appeal which is hard to miss. Rahul Bose is fineas the baddie.

It has Excellent technical aspects like action, cinematography, screenplay innovative story about

the real life on terrorism in Afghanistan shot in USA.Though the screenplay is brilliant, editing could havebeen way better, where there is really slow pace insome scenes which makes some audience feel bore.

For one thing Viswaroopam lacks soul. As a vieweryou would not feel engaged .The movie ends whenwe were waiting for something big to happen so itgives the feeling of incompleteness. The film is sloppyat times.

First half is much more exciting and when enters thesecond half the story starts dragging, but gets itspace and interest with the flash back showing thebygone of Viswanath. Mainly the background musicdidn’t fit into the shots, ehsaan loy fails in his attempt.Viswaroop doesn’t have any commercial elementsand lacks mass entertainment. Watchable, For aKamal fan everything in it, but for a normal viewer itcan’t reach the expectations.. It is just averageflick. Verdict: Special 26 is a thriller that reveals a young film making brain at his creative best. It’s a perfectlyenjoyable well-written, well-made film about somewhat remarkable events with its shocking, smart andunpredictable climax. The entire film is paced perfectly and editing too is good. But, having said that Special26 doesn’t turn out to be a flawless experience it’s not high on suspense and thrills and looks flat at fewplaces but For some of the obvious reasons i’ll go with 3/5 bits.

Inspired by a series of real incidents from the 1980s,S26 is a logically scripted and intelligently-directedmind-racing thriller revealing the story of a group ofconmen who rob politicians and businessmen hugeamounts of black money by masqueradingthemselves as CBI & IT officials.

Movie was plotted on strong story, with greatexecution by all actors. Akshay Kumar plays a perfectCBI Officer role with no nonsense. Anupam Kher, asusual, has done his job and Jimmy Shergill along withDivya Duttahave done justice to their roles.KajalAggarwal has no scope for acting

But it’s Manoj Bajpayee’s glamorous performancethat is more likely to remain in the audience’s mind fora long time. The background score however isimpacting. The cinematography is beautiful. MujhmeTu is a wonderful romantic track.

Story

This movie is based on the real time day light robberyin Mumbaijeweler shopby a gang of 26 ‘innocent’consproclaiming themselves as CBI officers. Itcaptures the 80′s era beautifully, especially the Delhi,Bombay, Chandigarh of the eighties with earlyMaruti’s and Fiats on the roads. The film begins welland the director grabs your attention right away. Its

second half where S26 scores all its points. S26have an unnecessary love story, which franklycould have been easily avoided.

Murder 3MOVIE REVIEW

'Murder 3' is the official remake of the Colombianmovie ‘The Hidden Face’.

The story revolves around a hot-shot fashion andwildlife photographer's (Randeep Hooda)mysteriously missing girl friend (Aditi Rao) and thenew girl (Sara Loren) that comes into his life holdingthe key to the mystery.

Story

A mystery thriller, Murder 3starts with a lovely couple,Vikram (Randeep Hooda), who is a small-time wildlifeand fashion photographer, and Roshni (Aditi Rao),who is a successful Architect, where they both lives inan amazing locales of South Africa.

Page 31: BuddyBits Issue 2

Verdict: Murder 3 has many loopholes and lacks logic in several places. It delivers no grand moments interms of either style or substance. It thrills, yet fails to captivate. This one's a downer for Murder fans. Morethan anything else, this Bhatt production is a waste of an opportunity of what could have been an edge-of-the seat suspense thriller. I am going with disappointing 2/5 bits.

Soon Vikram gets a big contract in India and so thecouple shifts somewhere far away from Mumbai andits city traffic, and started to live happily there. Lateron Roshni go missing and what happens when thesecret reveals of mysterious disappearance of Roshniis what the movie all about.

There’s hardly anything worth mentioning about thefilm’s first half. It’s slow, irritating and unreal at placesbut second half does have some attention-grabbingtwists revealing main part of the story, but it's duringthe climax which gives a good twist in the storyline, but overall it’s not up to the standard of usual BhattCamp's movie. Music by Pritam and Roxen band isgood. “Teri Jhuki Nazar” and “Mat Aazma re” arewonderful tracks. Background Score is below averageand Cinematography is nice.

Have Fun with “Facebook Graph Search”EXPERT’S POST

What is Graph Search?

Facebook Graph Search system allows users tomake natural-language queries in search ofFacebook-based information about friends, photos, likes, and other content. For example, you could input“Friends of friends who like android smartphones” andsee a list of people who qualify that description –provided their information is public.

The Graph Search feature combines the BIG DATAacquired from its over a billion users and externaldata into a search engine providing user-specificsearch results. This is an interesting move to provide search resultsfrom “trusted sources”, and thus is definitely differentfrom the search results provided by Google and Bing.Facebook is landing into the search space, and coulddeal a big blow to Google.

Boon for Advertisers

Even the investors are seeing a lot of potentialopportunity for Facebook to deliver valuable ads viaGraph Search, because the ads can be delivered withaccuracy and credibility – trusted asrecommendations. Another attraction for theadvertisers is the tremendous reach of Facebook – 1billion people, 240 billion photos and nearly a trillionconnections.

Technology behind Graph Search

In its most technical form, a graph is a set of nodesthat may or may not be connected to edges. Nodesoften represent data. The graph theory doesn’tconcern itself with what the nodes on the graphactually represent, but as soon as you integrate anapplication, it becomes quite useful.

Graph search uses a search algorithm similar totraditional search engines such as Google. The newsearch feature is distinguished as a SEMANTICSEARCH ENGINE, searching based on intendedmeaning. The service processes searches of up to112 characters.

The Open Graph feature allows developers tointegrate their applications and pages into theplatform, and links Facebook with external sites. Thefeature operates by allowing the addition of metadatato turn websites into graph objects.

Privacy Concerns

Golmaal was in a fix. He needed Rs 10,000 badly anddid not know whom to ask. He approached his friend,Malamaal for a loan. “I promise to return the money ina month” he said. But, like the money, his promisesalso vanished into thin air. Now, Malamaal startedgetting worried about getting his money back. To getrid of his constant pestering, Golmaal approachedDhaniram, a friend with whom he had not been intouch for ages. He made the same request and thesame promise to the unsuspecting Dhaniram andmanaged to get Rs. 10,000 from him as well.

After getting Rs. 10,000 from Dhaniram he wentstraight and handed it over to Malamaal. He heaved asigh of relief now that he had managed to return hisdebt. Another month went by and it was time to payback Dhaniram. By now Golmaal had discovered anice solution. Golmaal ran back to Malamaal andasked him again for Rs. 10,000 which he promised toreturn in a month’s time. Malamaal now trusted hisfriend to return his money and thus lent him themoney willingly. Golmaal gave this money toDhaniram. Golmaal figured out that he was not justmaking things work well for him, he was keeping bothhis creditors happy too!

Month after month, he kept taking from one to returnthe other’s debt. However, fraud does not have a verylong life and soon, Golmaal became a victim of hisown devise. He got confused as to who he hadborrowed from and whom he had to return. He did notknow whether to take the Rs. 10,000 from Dhaniramto give to Malamaal or vice versa.

He got rather tired and wanted to solve this issuepermanently. He called them over for tea. Heintroduced Malamaal and Dhaniram to each other. When they were about to leave, he simply said, “Ihave to thank you both for having lent me money. Butnow, it is getting quite confusing, having to deal withthe two of you. Do me a favour, just keep exchangingRs. 10,000/- between the two of you everymonth!”The friends were appalled, to say the least!

Many of us solve our money problems like Golmaal.Borrow from here, give there. Take profits from onerunning business and invest in some other businessthat is making losses. But we need to understand thatthese are nothing but temporary solutions. They willraise their ugly heads at some point or the other. Thevicious circle would thus go on and on, never lettingyou get out of the clutches of financial problems. Theancient Indian system of Ayurveda had a permanentsolution to good health and vitality. Ayurvedicmedicines worked on principle of prevention ofdisease rather than its cure. And why would a healthyperson feel the need for any medication?

Hi friends,

Taking cue from my previous article let me take youahead in the journey towards financial freedom.Coincidentally this article is aligned to be publishedon the Budget Day so I shall also talk about it in thisarticle. Now its my duty to bring it to your notice theimportant aspects of personal finance which I happento call the HARDWARE and SOFTWARE ofmanaging your money. I am of the opinion that likeany electronic device which is automatic in nature hasboth these aspects which run very much incoordination to give you the feel and the comfort thatyou desire. Now the important thing in my abovestatement is the COORDINATION which you needkeep in mind.

Also I would like to add is that YOU can achievefinancial freedom in 2 different ways

1. Doing it all by yourself.2. Taking paid help from an expert. ( Beware of

FREE advice, rather pay the FEE for the same )

Now both these methods that I have mentioned herehave their own PRO’s and CON’s. Which is a bettermethod is a subject matter of debate and the opinionsvary from person to person. Hailing from the field ofPersonal Financial Services I may sound a bit like Iam taking sides but I am not, and would say I preferthe 2nd method to the first one. And I have reasonsfor the same. The reasons are linked to my earlierarticle in which I mention you the art of WORKSMART.

Now irrespective of the path you take, you need tolearn both the Hardware and Software to achieveFinancial Freedom. And in today’s world of hugecompetition its Smarter to take help from someonewho has the attitude, skills and knowledge about thesame and can guide you in the right direction.

If you want to achieve it all by yourself you need tomanage all the three things over and above theherculean task on you of earning money and feedingyour family. So I feel its smarter and faster way toachieve Financial Freedom by outsourcing certainthings to a subject expert and pay necessary fee forthe same. Now Who is an expert and who is not is

one big question and I would like to cover it in myupcoming articles as to

üWho is an Expert and How to hire one &üWhy pay fees for advice.

I know by now you are impatient and desperatelywant to know what are the Hardware and Softwareaspects of attaining the financial freedom . Lets talkabout Software first. Now irrespective of the physicalstructure in place you need a system that makes thephysical structure work efficiently. Likewise itsimportant to learn the software for better functioningof the hardware and unless you learn and master thisfirst you will surely not be able to run the hardwareproperly.

So what is this Software that I am talking about. Itincludes many things like:

• Importance of Budgeting.• Your belief system about Money.• The Seven Stages of Money Maturity.• Understanding Fear and Greed Cycles in HumanBeings.• Discipline.• Understanding of Macro and micro economics.• Understanding the effect of Compounding andInflation , etc.

Now it may look a very huge task to understand theabove things but don’t worry I shall make them easierfor you to understand to apply in your day today lifewith the help of this Column regularly month aftermonth.

As mentioned before in this article before, I shall nowtalk about BUDGET here as it is the Tax season andthe publishing of the magazine coincides withBUDGET DAY in the Parliament.

Something About Budget:

During 1760’s, The Chancellor of the Exchequer inEngland would carry the statement of governmentFinances to the House of Commons ( Lok Sabha ofEngland ) in a leather bag. The French word for sucha bag is BOUGETTE , which became BUDGET inEnglish. And since then the word Budget started

Hardware & Software of financial freedomMONEY GURU

39BuddyBits E-magazine | Issue 2 | February 2013

Page 40: BuddyBits Issue 2

being used as THE WORD associated with ManagingMoney. Therefore the Finance Minister is oftencaptured on the Camera holding the Budget Bag as ifhe were a magician about to pull a rabbit out of hishat.

Why is Budgeting so important? And what is thesimilarity of household budget and Union Budget.

Well what Budgeting means is very simple. Lets sayYou earn X amount of income and you have Yamount of expenses and you maintain a record of allyour expenses and income to stay informed as to howmuch money you can Save. Similarly, thecomputation and classification of the Revenues andExpenditures of a household is called householdbudget and that of Govt of India is called a UnionBudget. Now lets understand some basic definitions

If expenditures < Income = Savings.If expenditures > Income = Deficit.

So these basic definitions show you why is Budgetingso Important. If you work Smart and keep yourexpenses less than what you earn, YOU SAVEMONEY. This can be invested and put to better use inorder to enable your money earning you moremoneyin form of Interest, returns or dividends. Now ifyou are spending more than what you earn you arehaving a Deficit and you have 2 options. Use yourprevious savings to spend or borrow money.

This is exactly the situation prevailing in our country.Govt of India is currently spending close to 6% moremoney than it is earning and hence there is immensepressure on the Finance Minister to deliver a Budgetwhich decreases the expenses, increases the income(which means more taxes to be paid by people) andbring the deficit level to around 3% which is the ideallevel which has been globally accepted. It is asituation to worry as it was the sole reason whyEuropean countries like Spain went Bankrupt as theirexpenses are almost 100% more than their incomesand US is on the same path too but is survivingbecause of large Reserves(savings) and many otherfactors.

You will be having more questions like how does theGovt earn money and also how is Budgeting relatedto Financial Freedom. I shall inform you about thesame in the next article. Till then keep Smiling andinvest in increasing your knowledge about finance.God bless you all.

The worst outcome of human impact on earth… Themajor phenomenon of this decade that defines newways of life, sets new norms on trade and production, that changes us all for good… We are all familiar withthe term “Climate Change”.

But, what is it?

Literally, climate change means a statistical change inthe average weather conditions over a certain periodof time. What we understand from the term today isnot a mere climate modification, though. Rather, itrefers to a specific and unique occurrence that affectsthe whole world. It is called the “anthropogenicclimate change”, in other words: climate changetriggered mostly by human impact.

Temperatures are observed to reveal unnegligableincreases in the overall face of the world. Extremedroughts are followed by unprecedented floods. Polarice is being melted down. Sea temperature getshigher constituting a jeopardizing the bewildered. Therefore, even though some places on earth do gothough a cooling period, the term “global warming” isoften used interchangeably for modern day climate.

So, what did we do all of a sudden to heat up theclimate?

Before answering this question, we must caution thatthe answer is related to certain types of gasses thatact upon the world’s atmosphere. Green housegasses they are called, for the green house effectthey create. Methane, carbon dioxide and carbonmonoxide are among the well-known green housegasses, to name a few.

You might be objecting this statement saying thatcarbon gasses are released with or without humanimpact. You are right. They are naturally present inour biosphere due to many natural events such asplate tectonics, volcanism or even from mere animalexcrements. What’s more, life on earth is actuallybound to these gasses. Because, these gases act asthermal blankets for the atmosphere. In theirinexistence, the heat couldn’t be absorbed in theatmosphere, thus the temperature would be zero.

The problem, today, is that the blanket over the bluemarble has got extremely thick.

Over the last 80 years, huge amounts of greenhousegases have been released to the atmosphere. Themajor causes of this increased emission are of humanimpact, such as fossil fuel combustion, aerosols andcement manufacture. The way we produce, the waywe travel, the way we build… everything we do hasbeen adding up to the carbon concentration. Moreover, deforestation and ozone depletion, twoother anthropogenic hazards of our century, havebeen magnifying the affects of GHG emissions.

Scientists and politicians are now questioning whatwe are awaiting as the earth goes on to heat up. Theretreatment in the size of world’s glaciers areconsidered to be the most manifest indicators ofGlobal Climate Change. Glacier National Park hasalready lost 65 % of its size. Vegetation, insects andice cores also indicate the scope of the impact.Unless our impact on our environment goes through aradical change, we should be ready for worserepercussion along the 80 years to come.
