Welding Training InspectionBoost your welding capabilities with our inspection and welding expertise.

Welding inspection and training servicesWe take a holistic attitude to the welded product and offer a complete range of services in fabrication, supervision, training, and all activities associated with welding, covering development of welding procedures, testing and inspection. Our highly specialised services also include

technical and specialist advice on supervision

of steel fabrication and welding,

The Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR)

is the development and documentation of the welding

procedure for a desired product. A weld is produced

and is thoroughly tested to requirements of standards/

codes to ensure a sound weld is produced.

Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is documented after

a successful WPQR is completed and provides directions for

the welder, specifying the range of conditions for producing

good quality welds as per the standard/code requirements.

These steps are undertaken in compliance with international

and Australian standards and codes, such as AS/NZS

3992, AS/NZS 1554, AS 2885.2, AS 1210, AS 1228, AS/

NZS 1665, AS 4041, ASME IX, API 620/650 and AWS

D1.1/D1.1M, EN ISO 15614-1, ISO 15609-1, and others.

Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ). Tests for

welders and operators are performed to demonstrate

their ability to work within the specified WPS. The WPQ is

undertaken according to AS/NZS 2980, as well as all the

above standards/codes.

Our personnel are highly qualified in conducting both training and inspection. We are qualified and certificated as:• Workplace Trainers and Assessors from Australian

Registered Training Organisations (RTO’S) – with

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - (TAE 40110)

• Certificates in Welding Technology and Industrial Supervision

• Australian (NSW) Certificate III Fabrication

Trade and Diploma of Engineering—

Advanced Trade Levels (MEM50105)

• Australian (NSW) Advanced Diploma of Management

• AS/NZS 2214- Certification of Welding

Supervisors—Structural Steel Welding

• AS 1796-Certification of Welders, Welding

Supervisors Certificate 10

• AS 1796-Certification of Welders in 1/1E, 2, 3/3E,

4, 5, 6, 7, 8G, 8F and 9 (Pressure Welding)

• Welding Inspection qualifications to International

Institute of Welding levels IWI-B and IWI-S

• Welding Technology Institute of Australia (WTIA)—

Welding Inspection certifications to CWI, CSWI levels

• WTIA Certified Pressure Equipment Welding

Supervisors (CPEWS) & Certified Structural

steel Welding Supervisors(CSSWS)

• Responsible Welding Coordinator to International

Institute Welding–IWS (Specialist) level.

We train and test welders to Australian Standards,

such as AS/NZS 1554, AS 1796, AS/NZS 1665, AS/

NZS 2980, AS/NZS 3992, and other relevant codes.

Training/Testing can be held at your company premises

or at our Kingsgrove Training and Testing Facility.

Products that require 3rd party visual inspection can be

referred to Busicom Inspections and Training Solutions

(BITS) Inspectors. The Quality Assurance (QA) system may

include an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). The ITP is aimed

at showing that the product meets expectations through

a series of steps to follow throughout the manufacturing

process, from receipt of the job specifications to the final

inspection. Our services cover the ITP and its implementation.

We also provide:

• On-site specialist welding assessments,

• Supervision and welding inspections, and

• Third party visual Inspection of fabrication and

welding and reports as per AS 3978 standard and

other inspection standards/codes/specifications.

We also provide third party inspection/witnessing

and pressure test reports as per AS 4037.

• NATA-approved testing facilities can be arranged for Non-

Destructive (NDT) or Mechanical/Destructive (DT) testing of

welds and metals to various standards/codes/ specifications.

“Seven welding bays fully equipped for gas tungsten arc welding

(GTAW), manual metal arc welding (MMAW), gas metal arc welding/

flux-cored arc welding (GMAW/FCAW) processes”.
