• He is an english musician, pilot and broadcaster. He currently is the lead vocalist of the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden.

Where did he come from?

• He was born on the seventh of August of 1958 in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, he began his music career in music fronting small pub bands in the 1970s.

• He studied at Sheffield University in London.• He later joined the New Wave of British Heavy

Metal band Samson, and then left it in 1981 to join Iron Maiden

• He joined Iron Maiden in 1981• He left it in 1993 so he could concentrate on

his solo career.• He returned in 1999.• He is still with the band, as lead vocalist.
