National Conference on “Current Trends in Plant Science and Molecular Biology” for Food Security and Climate Resilient Agriculture (PSMB2018)

ORGANISING COMMITTEE

ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Plant science and molecular biology is a study that involves the molecular

basis of biological activity between biomolecules in the various systems of a

cell, including the interactions between DNA, RNA, and proteins and their

biosynthesis, as well as the regulation of these interactions in the plant life.

This conference anticipates the contributions of experts from diverse cross

disciplines like plant biology, plant science, plant physiology, plant

pathology, genetic engineering, plant ecology, environment science, plant

tissue culture, plant biotechnology, horticulture, forest science and those in

the fields conducting plant, crop science and genetic related research. The

nature of environment is to change regularly. To resist and acclimatize

according to this change is the flexibility of ecosystem. A careful analysis of

impact caused by environmental changes will help to devise new strategies,

techniques or genetic approaches to improve plant systems. The present

conference therefore, targets key issues directly associated with the current

trends in plant science and molecular biology for food security and climate

resilient agriculture. Basic and applied research done in the field on the

following themes would be at the Centre stage.

ABOUT ORGANISERS

This ACADEMY is of National level, registered by the provisions of Societies Act XXI of 1860 under the Government of Bihar in 1988, presently has its Head Quarter at 206, Raj Tower-1, Alaknanda Community Centre, New Delhi. The main objective of the Academy is to bring awareness about the environment among the masses by arranging lectures, demonstrations, training programmes, seminars, symposia, conferences, publishing journals, etc.

Its major aims and objectives include promotion of environmental sciences among young minds and researchers, setting up regional and state Chapters for dissemination of information on environment, to hold annual conference, to organize national/ international level conferences, symposia, seminars, meetings and workshops on themes of environmental concerns and to publish policy papers, synthesis volumes, proceedings, journals, newsletter, transactions and other publications for the promotion of Environmental Sciences.

It has organised many activities, with financial support from the different ministries of Government of India like Department of Science and Technology, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Indian National Science Academy, Indian Council of Medical Research, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Ministry of Earth Sciences, and Department of Biotechnology, regularly for over last 29 years.

This is the oldest college of the state of Madhya Pradesh established in the year 1950 with the affiliation of Agra University Agra (U.P.) and then with Vikram University, Ujjain and celebrated its golden Jubilee in the year 2000. In the year 1964, after establishment of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, this college was one of the colleges of JNKVV, Jabalpur. On 19th August 2008 a new Agriculture University- Rajmata Vijayaraje

College of Agriculture, Gwalior
