P2, w hich s tands for Profess ional Plug-in, is a compa ct s olid-state

memory card designed for professional AV use. Basically, four

SD/SDHC Memory Cards are pa ckage d tog ether to crea te a single

P2 c ard. This gives the P2 c ard four times the trans fer speed and

four times the write speed of a single SDHC card. Utilizing aprecision die-ca sting for the bod y of the ca rd, it bec omes the most

rugged and reliable memory device (class 6). A slim, large-capacity

32GB*1 P 2 ca rd (AJ -P2C032RG ) ca n hold 32 minutes o f DVCP RO

HD codec recording yet w eighs only ab out 45 grams . Compliant

with PC Ca rd sta nda rds (Type II), the P 2 ca rd plugs directly into the

card slot of a laptop P C.*2 AV data on the card mounts instantly,

P2 c ards w ithstand s hock up to 1,500 G a nd vibration up to 15 G,

operate in temperatures from –4 to 140° F (–20 to 60° C), a nd c an b e

ca rds also ha ve a write protect switch that helps prevent accidental

When you press the Record Button in standby mo de, the

AG -HVX200A se ries insta ntly finds a blank area of the P 2 ca rd a nd

begins recording. It can begin recording immediately even when

you're using it to preview video . There is no need t o po we r dow n

and reboo t the camera po rtion, you ca n go from playb ac k to record

in less than 2 seco nds. There's no c hance o f acc identallyoverwriting a recording. Recordings will not be erased unless you

intentionally delete a file or initialize the card.

•Pre-rec:While in standby mode, you can continuously store, and

sub se q uently record, up to 7 sec onds in DVCP RO50/DVCP RO or

3 seconds in DVCPRO HD of video and audio. In effect, this letsyou record footage of events that o ccur even before you press the

rec s tart button, giving you a w ay to " go b ack" and c apture

moments you otherwise w ould have missed .

In the Native mo de, the AG -HVX200A se ries records ima ges a t the

frame rate set in the camera. For example in 25p mode it only

records 25 frames instea d o f the normal 25 frames.

When using this mo de fo r undercrank or overcrank, only the frames

dialed in are chos en.Using the AG -HVX200A se ries to play ba ck the reco rding a t the

normal rate, you ca n preview the speed effect right on the s pot,

without using a frame rate co nverter. Native mode a lso extends the

recording time of a P 2 ca rd.

720p over 50p Mode

For example, in 25p mode it records 50 frames by applying a 2:2

pulldow n. The reco rding time is the s am e a s in 1080i or 720p mode ,

but the unit can output a DVCPRO HD stream from the IEEE 1394

connecto r as it records. This lets you produce a ba ckup copy using

a connected external Hard Disk recorder, such a s the FOCUS

FireStore FS-100.

production process .•Higher-speed shooting at 27* to 50 fp produces slow-motion effects.

This is es pecially effective for high-action sc enes like ca r chase s or c rashes, o r to create a

experience the same kind of steady resistance as you feel with

Manual Focus with Center Zoom

manually or automatically. In manual

mode, the focus ring gives you the

same kind of operating feel and

responsive control as ca meras w ith

interchangeable lenses. An HD-

Zoom) function enlarges the center

part of the image, making it easier to get the more precise focus

needed in HD production.In auto mode, you get quick focusing
