SCOPE OF THE BRC STANDARDThe BRC standard addresses a comprehensive set of product food safety issues as well as the legal and due diligence responsibilities of both the supplier and the retailer.

BRC Certification requires the adoption and implementation of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, a document and quality management system, and practices and procedures related to factory environmental performance, manufacturing and personnel. The BRC Standard for Food Products requires a scored and graded audit – grade level A, B, or C. Your grade determines the frequency of subsequent reviews required to maintain certification.

BUNDLE SERVICES FOR GREATER EFFICIENCY AND SAVINGSSCS offers cost-effective bundling of certification assessments for organizations that need to demonstrate compliance with multiple quality or safety standards. These include SQF Version 7, Tesco Nurture, GlobalGAP (for growers), HACCP, Organic, Fair Trade, and others.

TRAININGAs a leader in food safety training, SCS offers “Understanding the BRC Issue 6 Food Safety Standard”, a how-to course for production, personnel, technical and quality managers, consultants, and BRC auditors.
