BRIGHTON & HOVE NSPCC BUSINESS GROUP Why form a business group in this area? Apart from generosity of general public making regular and one off donations, and some ad hoc fundraising undertaken by some small businesses there is no NSPCC volunteer group presence in the city to help promote the NSPCC’s cause, very few businesses actually citing the NSPCC as their chosen charity and even fewer events in the NSPCC’s name in Brighton and Hove. What is the NSPCC’s vision? To have a society where all children are safe, loved and can fulfil their true potential. That includes children in the Brighton and Hove areas too! What will the main aim of the group be? To raise funds to help protect children (by setting an on-going annual financial target) To harness the power of networking to involve others To secure local publicity through business activity To recruit committed business supporters who care about making a difference To involve reputable companies who will want to work in partnership with the NSPCC to enhance their own businesses too. Interested? What is the level of commitment? Short term Help us form a core group of identified founder members who are willing to sit on a group by suggesting people who you think might be worth approaching. Offer to join the founder members group to help get it established – this could be a short term commitment without long term obligation Pay a suggested joining donation for your company or yourself to become annual associate members Sponsor our first Corporate Reception or aspect of a future event ie food, drink, venue, printing costs Tell others about this at every opportunity Join the NSPCC Business Group on LinkedIn and talk about us on your digital social networks Longer term

build an NSPCC friendly CSR strategy in to your marketing plan. Reap the personal and business benefits that this involvement will inevitably bring. Keep telling others about this! Encourage your employees to take part in NSPCC events.
