Dear Christian Friends,Thank you once again for your faithful support for our ministry in Ghana, West Africa. The generous and

gracious ways that you have shown your love continues to encourage us. Blessings to you as you continue toserve Him.

ON THE FIELD

EMMANUEL ADDISON. a student at Ghana Christian College continues to await his heart surgery:Some response has been given both from Ghana and the U.S. The total received towards his surgery is around$2000. He needs $10,000 for the total cost, and at least $5000 to go ahead with the surgery. HisEchocardiography showed the following:

1. Calcification of both Mitral Valve Leaflets and also the Valve ring;2. Severe Mitral Valve Incompetence relative Mitral Stenosis:3. Massively dilated left Atrium (10 X 10 cm);4.Thickened right coronary leaflet of the Aortic Valve with moderate Severe Aortic Valve Incompetence.5. Severe Tricuspid valve Incompetence:6. Severe Pulmonary Valve Incompetence with incised pulmonary artery pressure (48mm Hg).

Management will involve replacement of the Aortic and Mitral Valves with prosthetic valves and repair of thetricuspid valve.

Comment; While Ido not pretend to understand all of the above diagnosis, I certainly believe Mr. Addison's life isdependent on the success of this operation. He has been granted a leave from Ghana Christian College &Seminary.

GOG & S GRADUATION. 32 students graduated at the spacious venue of Atchimota College, an oldprestigious school campus in Ghana (residential high school). The graduation was attended by approximately1200 people. These events are huge in Ghana because they represent a celebration of accomplishment thatfriends, churches, and families want to enjoy.

NEW STUDENTS: 58 prospective students were interviewed and tested. 38 have been accepted for the full-time course beginning in Sept. This represents the largest class of Freshmen, if they all decide to enroll.

GET-GOING FUND; This fund to help evangelists plant new churches is now being turned over to themanagement of Ghanaians in the National Evangelistic Committee of the Christian Churches in Ghana. Tim is aconsultant to the committee. Therefore, funds that Tim has handled personally for national evangelists will beturned over to the Ghanaians to distribute as they decide. You may continue to support national evangelists asyou have done in the past. The funds will be transferred to the Evangelistic Committee in Ghana.

GOO RELOCATION: The work has come to a standstill. We are waiting for "FINAL" government clearance ofthe title to the land. The College has a temporary copy of the title, but patiently awaits for the often delayed andcomplicated completion of the final forms. No otherwork has been projected at this time. As soon as the buildingcommittee and the central committee set priorities, Tim will send information regarding prioritized items to brethrenin the U.S. for their prayerful consideration and financial help.

PRAYER CORNER: Pray each week for these:J Bright family as they work in Ghana - their health and well being - continual bouts with malaria.• Nathan - his schooling with Nebraska U. {completing his Sr. yr. of high school).U Bright children in the states- Teresa, Tasha in College; Kris and Lance working.• Ghana Christian College - relocation, accreditation, August sessions, and new year in Sept.• Ghana economy is in crisis - rising prices each week.• Recent flooding in Accra. Ghana resulting in 700,000 displaced persons.:j Harmony and unity as our co-workers return to Ghana from furlough in Aug. and Sept.

✓THANK YOU to all those who helped with the Ghana Christian College and Bright Outreach - A.M.E. booth atthe North American Christian Convention this year. Thanks especially to Kris Bright who organized the booth.

✓NOTICE: Our electric bill has gone from $40 per month to $175 per month since the first of the year. We havecut down on usage, but the increase in price has been extremely high.

RECENT FLOODS in Accra devastated many homes, wiped out huge quantities of rice and flour, and totallydestroyed several business. They also damaged some of the huge car dealerships such as Nissan, Toyota andGoodyear. Our house was spared. We only found a small leak in the roof of the living room. We received 10-17inches of rain in 7 hours on fvlonday, July 3-4. Our phones were out for about a week. THEY ARE WORKINGNOW. Electricity was off about 16 hrs. for us. Other parts of the city the problems were more severe. Worst hitwere people who lived in shacks along low lying areas near drainage ditches and small streams. Pictured below isour Post Office. The bottom level is our box and where all the mail and phone lines with AT&T are linked.
