A fashionable Danish flat 'My passion for vintage style goes back a long way,' says Lars Kristensen, referring to the elegant decor of his apartment in the Frederiksberg area of Copenhagen. 'Even as a teenager I filled my bedroom with old chairs, tables and quirky items, which were very different to the sorts of things my friends had in their rooms.' I've already posted Mia-Louise's beautiful home in Denmark last May but she sent me another article about her home featured in Bolig magazine and I hadn't realized in the first feature how HU-GE and beautiful her lounge was! Her space is feeling so airy and relax....so homely and her beautiful handmade prints look even more stunning on her walls. I love how simple yet striking The Old Oak's Last Dream and The Drop of Water prints look above her bed...very scandi. And I really thank her for mentioning BODIE and FOU to Danish readers as one of her favourite shops! Right..I'm off, I have brownies and diner to finish for Steve's surprise B'day diner.

A fashionable Danish flat

'My passion for vintage style goes back a long way,' says Lars Kristensen, referring to the elegant

decor of his apartment in the Frederiksberg area of Copenhagen. 'Even as a teenager I filled my

bedroom with old chairs, tables and quirky items, which were very different to the sorts of things

my friends had in their rooms.'

I've already posted Mia-Louise's beautiful home in Denmark last May but she sent me another

article about her home featured in Bolig magazine and I hadn't realized in the first feature how

HU-GE and beautiful her lounge was! Her space is feeling so airy and relax....so homely and her

beautiful handmade prints look even more stunning on her walls. I love how simple yet striking

The Old Oak's Last Dream and The Drop of Water prints look above her bed...very scandi. And I

really thank her for mentioning BODIE and FOU to Danish readers as one of her favourite shops!

Right..I'm off, I have brownies and diner to finish for Steve's surprise B'day diner.

Back to my weekend in San Francisco and the experience at the 49ers football game. Highlights

of game day were: 1) hanging out with TE; 2) walking around the huge tailgate in the parking lot

which was like a huge bizarre carnival with people with painted faces wearing red who were

49ers fans and others wearing huge slices of cheese on their heads if they were Green Bay

Packers fans; 3) the jets flying over the stadium after the national anthem; 4) meeting and sitting

next to Brenda and Jerry who have season tickets and who had a whole "game day watching"

system down where Jerry had his binoculars and earphones and Brenda somehow managed to

find a place in the stadium that sold her mimosas in a plastic champagne glass and she even had

49ers red gloves with fur around the wrists to match all of her other 49ers garb; and, 5) finally

watching the very exciting game itself. A guy spilled a full beer down my coat while I was by

myself getting something from the concession stands...I stood in the middle of the crowd with my

bottom lip poked out soaking wet in draft beer and at a total loss for words...all of the super fans

just looked at me as if to say "Poor thing...oh well...glad that's not me." One lady passed by and

actually said "Move out the way sweetheart, you could get hurt."

Lars' current home is conveniently situated just 20 minutes by bike from his shop. And perhaps

unsurprisingly for this Francophile, it's located next door to a French school and there's a

traditional boulangerie just down the road. 'I was won over by this place as soon as I walked in,'

he admits. 'Even though it was painted in incredibly dark colours and all the ceilings had been

lowered, it seemed to offer endless possibilities.' The main selling points, however, were the

fabulous south-facing windows that let in an abundance of light, even on the dullest of winter

days.
