Summary:

A tired large block of flats, situated in Southwark, South East London, has been given a complete makeover with a sustainable, insulated and weatherproof coating with a lifespan of over 30 years. The building was finished in a basecoat, primer and a 1.55mm silicone texture with several striking colours. Residents will benefit from a much more positive environment to live in and their homes are easier to heat and stay warm for longer. EWI can save up to 35% on an average heating bill.

System Type: 47kWp, 175 x 270w JA Smart Panels and SolarEdge inverters with ‘DC Safe’

Construction time: 4 Weeks

Summary: The 47kWp solar system will deliver electricity bill savings, CO2 savings of 18,000kgs per year and generation tariff and export tariff incomes to the owner.

Special Features: 1. The SolarEdge system includes a unique ‘DC Safe’ feature which shuts down the DC voltage to 1v per panel in the event of a loss of the AC grid, making the system safe for Fire personnel to apply water to the roof. 2. The client also has monitoring visibility of every panel installed. 3. The optimisers on each panel reduce the effects of shading as shade only affects the panel and not the string.
