boy girl wall questions

1
Boy, Girl, Wall. 1. What is the story about? a. The story is about variously intrinsically linked characters, centered on the boy Thom, the girl Alethea and the wall. Along with a narrator with great impact to the performance. The story follows their lives while an anthropomorphic wall that separates their apartments is trying to romantically play matchmaker between them. While also with the participation of other anthropomorphic beings, such as ceiling, floor, doors, Dave the Computer, etc. They are also human characters that interact with the protagonist enriching or adding trouble to their lives. Alethea and Thom go through various trials and conclude with a spark or romance and enter a relationship which makes their life better both emotionally, socially and job-wise. 2. What is the style of the performance? a. The style of the performance is non-natural following some of the conventions of Brecht along with the practices of physical theatre. It is the most likely case for this performance. 3. Who is your favourite character and why? a. My favourite character would be Friday and the Goth Librarian. For they can be imagined as awesome characters that signify a dramatic exaggerated stereotype and style. Friday is just the character with a few words but everyone understands and links to. The Goth is a favourite as a dark humour and the stereotype is easy to understand in this culture and is full of hilarity in the play 4. What theatrical Conventions do you think will be used? a. Obviously there will be a transformation of character since there is only one performer playing all the multiple roles. As well along the line transformation of space and time in the performance. There will use contrast between characters and the breaking of the fourth wall mainly by the narrator as written in the script. Along with a general mood and tone that changes depending on the events of the play. 5. How do you think the actor will use expressive skill? a. I suspect that the actor will use full on emphasis on his expressive skills, to convey emotions, characters, forms and mood. Creating it to be very exaggerated and full on flamboyance depending on the scene for great impact.
