Brewmaster and author of the book IPA Mitch Steele explores timing and techniques of hop usage including mash hopping, boil hopping, whirlpool/knockout hop stand additions, and dry hopping. You’ll cover hop varietal choices & blending, evaluating hops, water adjustments & much more to create awesome hop-forward brews.

TROUBLESHOOTING HOMEBREW FAULTS & FIXES – Ashton Lewis – Join Brew Your Own’s Mr. Wizard and Technical Editor Ashton Lewis as he walks you through the potential minefield of beer flaws and faults homebrewers can face – and more importantly how to prevent and fix those problems.

BEER SENSORY EVALUATION – Aaron Hyde – Your own senses can be one of your most valuable brewing tools. Join Brew Your Own Columnist Aaron Hyde as you educate your beer evaluation palate and explore how to properly taste your homebrew critically and use that knowledge to make better beer.

BREW CHEM 101 – Ashton Lewis – Understanding the basics of brewing chemistry will make you a better brewer. Brew Your Own’s Techni-cal Editor Ashton Lewis will break down what you need to know – and why you need to know it – so you’ll leave with a firm grasp of brewing chemis-try and how it will help you make improved beer at home.

SOUR BEER TECHNIQUES – Michael Tonsmeire – Learn hands-on traditional European as well as newer American methods to pro-duce sour and funky beers from Michael Tonsmeire, Brew Your Own Columnist who literally wrote the book on the subject with American Sour Beers.
