ancestors through all the prophets; in these last days, he spoke to us through a son.” (Hebrews 1: 1-2)

salvation to all people. The forgiveness of sins and the restoration of humanity’s friendship with God

The Church is the community of people who believe in Jesus Christ.

Grace is a sharing in God’s life and friendship. Grace helps us to respond to God with love. It leads us to want to know God better.

1. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the ancient Israelites began to write

about their experiences with God

a) Gospels, epistles, Acts of Apostles and Book of Revelation make

up the New Testament.

b) Certain disciples such as St. Paul began writing epistles,

letters found in the New Testament about God’s Revelation

through Jesus Christ

c) The Gospels were written later, as those who knew Jesus

firsthand began to die.

The truth is handed down in Tradition (pg. 26)– “There are also many other things that Jesus did, but if

these were to be described individually, I do not think the whole world would contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25)

that it means to live as a disciple of Jesus
