Science Day EAS received a grant from the Australian Science Association to hold a STEM day at the school. On Tues-
day kindergarten to Year 6 were involved with a STEM day which was organised by Mrs Dabin. The day in-
volved a presentation from Jacqueline Tate who is a cancer researcher and a STEM educator focusing on Ro-
botics. Jac shared her journey through science and also showed us a Robot she has been working with.
We then worked in our peer support groups to design, engineer and build a tower using only newspaper and
tape that could support a basketball.
After lunch we then competed in a paper plane challenge with the longest plane flying 16.5M.
A great day was had by all students and a big thank you to Year 6 and the Cootamundra High School students
who guided our students through each challenge.
