Principal's News T4W4Kindergarten Transition Day

Last week we welcomed many new families to our school for their first transition to school session. For others, it was a return to school for the familiar transition. The parents and carers were engaged in an information session and the preschool children were involved in activities in the classrooms. Well done to all of the helpers for making it a success.

Monday Morning Meeting

Every Monday morning, the year 6 leadership team delivers important information relating to events each week. It is a time for the whole school to assemble and celebrate the successes every student, teacher and parent achieve within our school community.

At this stage, items that have not been returned to students are located near the hall.

Some items have the rag tag attached, others are nameless.

Plastic bottle caps collection for a wonderful causeBBPS are extremely excited to be getting involved with the Lids 4 Kids and Envision initiative which collects then recycles plastic bottle caps into prosthetic limbs for children in need.

Every class from K-6 are encouraged to collect plastic bottle caps from home or school such as, milk bottles, juices, water and other drinks. It could even be a great idea to go through your recycling bins at home to find them!

At the end of the week, students from 4V will go around to each class to collect the accumulated bottle caps. We will be adding them all to a whole school, collective box which we will then donate towards this worthwhile cause.



This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives, minimise our impact on the environment and help show the world what can be done with what is considered waste.

Stage 1 News

Week 3 RecapIn history this term, Year 2 have been learning about games children played in the past. 2M conducted interviews with an older family member or friend to find out what games they played when they were younger and compared them to games they still play today.

“I loved interviewing my grandma because I found it really interesting learning about the games she played when she was a little girl. I was amazed they got the knuckles from lambs knees to play with". Stella

“My mum taught me how to play elastics, a game she played when she was a little girl at school. I think it’s really special because I can play with her at home and my friends when I'm at school".

“My Nonna played skipping and my Poppy played marbles when they were younger. I think this is special because these are still games we play today”.

Library News

Book FairOur school Book Fair and Grandparent's Day donation fair were an amazing success! We were simply blown away by the enthusiasm of our students and the support we received from our school community. Thanks to your generosity, we now have 85 new books for our Library collection and have earned over $3,000 in new books and resources from our school. From all of us here at the Library, we cannot thank you enough for your support!

Get Your GLOW On!!!!BBPS P&C proudly presents GLOWCHELLA, a neon inspired festival for all Bondi Beach Public School kids.

Get ready for a night of Dancing, Drumming and Festival Fun.

We will have a disco in the hall, a drumming circle near the basketball courts, an outdoor chill-out area complete with DJ and a festival face glitterer.

A selection of the Bondi Market food stalls will be available on the night, for you to purchase food so Dinner is Sorted.



Stalls include Pizza, Mr. Bao, Dumplings, Falafels and Coffee. We will also have Pure Pops ice lollies.

When: Friday, November 8th, 2019

• Years K-2 session: 5:30-6:30pm• Years 3-6 session: 7:00pm-8:00pm
