The organisation has expanded over the past years and now provides a wide range of services for women, families, children and young people within both the Refuge and the Outreach Support Centre. The ethos of Fortalice in relation to support is to focus on self-help, promoting self-esteem, confidence and independence to enable women to break free from abusive relationships and reduce the chance of re-victimisation thus moving on to a self-sustaining, independent life. The post is based at Lewis House, a purpose built Refuge compromising of 22 self-contained flats, OFSTED registered children’s services, offices, a meeting room and a communal area in which group activities can be facilitated. This facility is staffed on a 24 hour basis by Family Support Workers. Main purpose of the job: The Quality Assurance Worker will work under the direction and supervision of Team Leaders also at times, unsupervised, providing the continuity of services. The worker will ensure the high standard of service provisions across the organisation through quality assurance of case work, administration and volunteer recruitment. Main purpose of the job:

The Quality Assurance Worker will work under the direction and supervision of Team Leaders also at times, unsupervised, providing the continuity of services. The worker will ensure the high standard of service provisions across the organisation through quality assurance of case work, administration and volunteer recruitment.

The role will primarily involve a combination of case work and administrative support through assessing referrals, quality assuring individual support plans and collating and analysing data and statistics. The role will also involve assisting with the established programme of recruitment, training and integrations of volunteers and student placements into the organisation.

Key tasks:

To take referrals for Refuge space from clients and other agencies and enter on to electronic referral database.

To assess referrals with regards to risk levels and to liaise with other professionals within the multi-agency arena for information.

Quality assure referrals taken by other team members and provide feedback to Team Leaders. To ensure all aspects of communication is to a high standard, meeting the needs of staff,

volunteers, students and clients. Maintain electronic and hard copy client records and quality assuring individual support plan and

files. Collect and analyse statistics and service outputs, identifying trends and gaps in service provision. Complete detailed assessments, reports and statements for management, commissioners,

external organisations and internal organisational use.

Ensure all work is completed within the current General Data Protection Regulations and policies. Work within the safer recruitment framework to recruit volunteers, undertaking reference and

DBS checks. Schedule and interview volunteers to identify aspirations, motivation and expectations and

match to appropriate opportunities. Maintain a database for volunteers recording progress and CPD in respect of their work within

Fortalice. Liaise with colleges and universities to promote the benefits of student placements within the

organisation. Attend and contribute to meetings as required (internal or external). Work within the OFSTED framework on specific tasks as allocated by management. Undertake training as necessary in relation to this post and be committed to own personal

development as identified through the supervision and appraisal system. To work independently and also as part of a team. Observe and maintain health and safety procedures and practises within the organisation. To work within the organisation policies and procedures at all times, especially with regards to

Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities. Comply and demonstrate awareness and an understanding of the organisations policies,

procedures and working practices. Any other duties within the remit of this post.
