This project consists of the development of a product to assist individuals with weakened wrists and hands to open their cars’ fuel filler caps.

An initial production run will be scheduled and based on its success, a main production run will follow.

Each role as shown on the organisational structure has a set of clearly defined responsibilities, goals and authorities.

Each role is allocated to a designated member of the project team.

Due to the small scale of the project, a team manager is not required for the project management team.

For flexibility purposes, each project team member has been assigned multiple roles, for example, the project assurance team members will also undertake the role of project support.

•A quality management system will be implemented to ensure the product is fit for purpose, sturdy, efficient and that the project is successful.

Project RiskA Risk Management procedure will be implemented which comprises of the following five steps:

Communicate

The first four steps namely ‘Identify, Access, Plan and Implement’ are sequential but are parallel to the ‘Communicate’ step. This is due to the findings of any of the other steps will need to be communicated prior to the completion of the overall process.
