BME Job Fair (October 17-18, 2012) With the BME Job Fair we provide you with the chance to get in contact with those companies where

your future career may begin. The event gives a unique opportunity for networking since the companies

present themselves in a direct, student-friendly manner, with specially assorted portfolio of traineeships

and job offers for students. The BME Job Fair is the largest event of its kind, where thousands of

jobseekers and more than 140 companies are welcomed each time.

When should you visit the Job Fair? • if you want to know the expectations of the companies and you want to prepare for them

• if you want to build connections to start your career smoothly

• if you want to collect information about the companies to decide where to apply

• if you are looking for an internship and want to choose from more opportunities

• if you want a job and want to learn about all the offers

You don’t even have to leave the campus because the event is held in building K each semester.

Preparation Days (September 24 – October 12, 2012) In the weeks prior to the Job Fair we organize programs that can help you to be confident and prepared

when meeting the companies.

It is important that as a future employee, you have defined goals and ideas, usable language skills, know

the tricks of CV writing, and be well-prepared for unexpected interview questions. This is why since

1995, the Job Fair is preceded with a three-week-long program, the Preparation Days, where we – and our

partners – do our best to get you ready for the difficulties of job hunting.

If you can’t attend any of the programs on the Preparation Days, then you should look for the Preparation

Level (1st floor of building K) during the Job Fair , where you can get immediate answers to your

questions about job searching.

Alumni Organization You have just joined the community of the university but you should know that after receiving your

diploma you can remain a member. For this reason we have foundedthe Alumin Organization and as a

member you can receive information about important professional programs and university events. The

Alumni Organization sends a publication every spring to the members of the Organization, the current

students, and all alumni graduated after 1997. Our publication is released in 16500 copies and is available

for download from the Student Center website.

Surveying and publishing results

BME pays increased attention to learn the most important attributes and expectations of its target

audience (freshmen, recent graduates, companies) thus we prepare surveys annually in the following

fields:

• Career choices and social status of the admitted students,

• Employment chances of the recent graduates

• The opinion of the visitors and exhibitors of the BME Job Fair about the job market’s segment

related to recent graduates
