The Employee Self-Service Role allows employees to: Complete the Health Statement Enroll in their benefits Print a Benefit Summary Report Submit address changes and life events to

HR

The Health Statement is presented and completed using “one-thought-per-

screen,” making the process much easier than

completing the form on paper

The Employee is asked only those questions that apply to him or her, based

on previous responses.

After initial enrollment, HR can continue to let employees use Employee Self-Service,

and simply approve their submissions (NOTE: No employee-generated transactions are sent to ABCBS

Membership until and unless they are approved by HR in BluesEnroll).

Or, after the Health Statement is complete, HR can enter enrollments

and other changes through the Group Administrator Role.

HIPAA mandates that the Health Statement answers be private and confidential.

Therefore, employees must complete the Health Statement themselves. However, after the Health Statement is complete, the Group

Administrator can perform all BluesEnroll functions on behalf of the employee.
