Kettlebell BasicsIn this 45 minute class, you will learn proper kettlebell technique for common maneuvers such as the Swing, Clean, Press, Snatch, Goblet Squat and more. Each week the class will be divided up between technique training and using those skills in a workout. The kettlebell is a cast iron weight looking somewhat like a cannonball with a handle, used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. Invented in Russia and used for decades by strongmen, kettlebells offer users a wider range of motion than dumbbells that sit in the palm of the hand, and they also better simulate the way we carry things in our daily lives. Kettlebell training is accessible and practical for all. From the elite athlete to those looking to discover fitness for the first time, and everyone in between. It truly transforms your body. Class is performed barefoot, bring water bottle. Class is taught by experienced and HKC Certified Instructors from QC Dance Studio. Max 10.
